VTR ejecting battery

Greetings good folk,
Question: my VTR keeps ejecting the battery that I have installed in it (often while in-hand, just before or after use). Is it more likely that this is due to the switch for the door being molested while in my pocket, or is this a safety feature on the mod itself for when it experiences an unstable load from the battery? I've got a ....ty 3000 mAh Ultrafire that I've been using in it until I get the funds for a higher-end power source. I'm not sub-ohming, just using a standard i30s or Aerotank.
Thanks for the help.

It's not a safety feature and I haven't seen people complain about that being an accidental 'feature' on their VTRs. As you know the door uses a sliding catch to hold the battery door closed. Is yours exceptionally loose? I don't have one but I would imagine that catch would be springloaded to keep the door latched, is yours?

Could be a faulty, or just stuck, catch.

I am having the same issue. The problem seems to be too much play in the hinge section allowing the door to move too much and working the latch loose. Since there don't seem to be too many complaints about this it may be isolated incidents. I don't know. I sit mine on the base very often and the door does not seem to be flush with the base. I can press on various spots on the door and the right combination of presses will cause the door to pop open. Thinking about trying to get a replacement base. Also wanted to add that I'm using IMR button top batteries and it does the same with all of them.
