Yep. I have a V-tube and I'm happy with it. For a newbie, it's a good choice for a variable voltage mod. I'ts not complex at all. It's not the best variable voltage mod out there, but it's reasonably priced and Apollo has a good warranty. If you want a spare battery, don't get it from Apollo. You can get a top of the line Panasonic 2250mah 18650 IMR battery from orbtronics.com for $9.99 shipped to the U.S. (not sure where "mtl" is though).

There are some things to be aware of with the V-tube or it's other identical twin, the Lavatube. See the Lavatube forum under the "Variable Voltage Mods" section of the forum. Also watch the review by Pbusardo on the VVM(?), which is the same thing under a different name. They're about the easiest variable voltage device for a newbie and have some built-in protections against typical newbie mistakes. For $60, you really can't go too wrong. Main thing is only use 2.5ohm and higher cartos and attys. The V-tube will limit your voltage too much if you use anything lower than that. This keeps you from burning up cartos by using too high a voltage.

Good luck. Check the LavaTube forum. Lots of info there.

All that said, you should be getting pretty good vapor on what you have. What cartos or attys are you using. What kind of juice?

I have the extreme with the disposable carto, cherry and tabacco!
I ordered the refillable carto and several juices but i havent yet received them!
The vape i get is preatty good, but i wouldnt mind having more.
Thats why i was looking into more complex devices.
Do you think there will be much of a difference if i pay to upgrade to vtube or TGO?

Also, can i order third party e juice, or do i really need the apollo brand??

Thanks

You don't need anybody's particular brand in any carto if it is refillable.
If you can find out the thread pattern of the extreme, you can get empty cartos and fill them with whatever juice you want.

If your battery is over 450mah, you can use low resistance cartos for a warmer vape and possibly more vapor production.

You can use any 510 tank, carto or atty in the V-Tube.
If you use 3ohm or higher coils you can set it up to 5V, approx.
If you use 4ohm, you can get the full 6V out of it.

I find 3ohm Boge Cartos work great in my V-tube at 4.5-5+V
I also use C3 clear cartos at lower voltages. I like the bottom coils because of the thick juice I use.
Juice with high VG content gives most vapor, but at the expense of some muting of flavors.

I'm not familiar with the TGO, I presume it's Appolo's version of an eGo?

Remember, larger batteries hold their higher voltage for longer. Higher voltage available for longer is good.
If the TGO is like an eGo, you might be limited to between 3.5-3.7V, so you might want to try low resist. cartos for max. vapor.
But hotter vaping might mute some flavors, or make them taste burnt.

Yeah, I just got my 3.0s in and daaaamn they are so good at 4.6 when they are fully saturated. The tgo kit is an ego kit, but with a 900 mah battery. The batteries can't be that bad, my 1000 mah last for a full day, but ego-t style tanks are a nightmare. I like 2.0 ohm on ego batts, seems to be the ideal for me. Still waiting to try the 1.7 xls though.

Nothing wrong with an eGo, and 900mah is a respectable battery size. I agree that a 2-2.5ohm is a good match for a 3.7 battery. I use it all the time with my Baby Bullet.

Are you planning on using a 1.7ohm on a V-Tube or Lavatube? Don't bother. You'll be restricted to about 3.7V. Might as well stick to the 3ohm cartos, or 2.5ohm at the lowest. I think it'll let you vape with about 4.7V at 2.5ohms.

Cost-wise you could do better. 75 for two ego batts is kind *of* highway robbery. Myfreedomsmokes has a Smoketech version of the ego battery, 1100 mah, for 14 a pop right now. You would have to buy a charger, but they aren't that much and then you could choose what kind of atomizer or carto combo you want with your battery and not waste money on ego-tanks. Apparently, some people like them, but I never had any luck with them. They always muted flavor, and leaked constantly. If you really like the idea of the tanks, though, you can find a better deal than 75$. Apollo is a good vender and has a great price on the lavatube, but that isn't really a good price for an ego-t setup. Most of them I looked at were 60$ or below for a starter kit.

Same voltage, same carto resistance, same juice = same vapor.
The TGO is a 3.7V device. The extreme is a 3.7V device. The vapor will be the same.
The only difference is that the 900mah batteries will hold their voltage longer between charges.
The first vape on the TGO will be just like the first vape on the extreme.
When the extreme's vapor starts to get weak, the TGo will be stronger.

Don't forget that the TGO is a sealed battery unit. That means it's disposable.
IMO, it's way over priced.
You can get an 18650 sized e-Power (over twice the battery capacity) for the same or less money.
And, since it uses standard batteries, you won't have to throw it away when it wears out or the switch breaks (you can get replacement switches)

Last chance...Get the V-Tube. It's pig simple. Just use 3ohm cartos. Then set it and forget it. And it's a much better value.

900mah eGo kits can be had all day all over the place for $40-50 bucks.
I got a 900mah eGo battery for $9 on sale and I don't even particularly like eGos. Normally, they're about $24.

Yeah i guess you are rigth sailorman. Maybe the VTube is the best option... Is it only for dripping?? I have never done that!
Or can you use a regular cartridge??

I would like to order everything i need from apollo in one shot so i could go see another retailer for juices and whatever...

Should i buy several atomizers, or is there a converter that will let me use third party atomizers

No! It's not just for dripping. You can drip if you want, but you can use regular cartos in it or tanks or whatever you want. I think your "extreme" cartos are the 510 thread pattern, so you can use them as well.
The recommended resistance for the V-Tube is 3ohms. That gives you a wide range of voltages that are actually useable.
If you use a low resistance, say 1.5ohms, it will work, but it will automatically limit your voltage so that you don't burn out your carto. That means if you set your VT at 3.7V with a 1.5ohm carto, you will get 3.7V. If you increase it to 5V, you will still get 3.7V

So, it's really idiot-proof. I don't know what the resistance is of your "extreme" cartos. But worst case is that you'll be vaping at 3.7V, just the same as you were before. If they are higher resistance, say 2.5-3ohms, you will have a range of voltage to select from and will be able to produce more, and nicer, vapor.

Any atomizer with a 510 thread will fit. If you have, for example, a 808 atomizer, you can get a 510/808 convertor. I'm using one of those right now on my VT with an 808 cartomizer.

If you aren't going to drip, the only thing atomizers are good for is tasting small amounts of juice before you fill up a carto with a flavor you don't really like. Personally, I wouldn't bother. Buy 3ohm Boge cartos instead and you'll be golden.

You won't be able to get everything in one place. Get the kit from Apollo, but that's all. If you have a credit, maybe pick up some empty cartos if they have them, or some juice if you like it.

What you really want to do is buy a spare Panasonic 2250mah IMR battery for $9.99 shipped from Orbtronics. It's the best battery going and will outlast the stock VT battery by miles and miles. I can't recommend getting a spare battery from Apollo. They're o.k. and I've had no problem with them, but they're overpriced, cheap generic IMR's and only 1600mah or less.

Then, get some 3ohm Boge cartos from wherever you can. If Apollo sells cartos, they'll be better than nothing, but get Boges as soon as you can. You can find them for $6-8 for a pack of 5. If you have $20, you can get 15 of them, including shipping from several place.

Then, you'll be set. Apollo ships fast. I got mine from CA to FL in 3 days.

Need to clear one more thing up. You use the word "cartridge". A cartridge is the thing full of juice that fits into the top of the atomizer. Yes, you can use those. But they are pretty obsolete.

Certain companies, especially the ones that sell cigarette look-alikes, call their cartomizers "cartridges". This causes no end of confusion. If the atomizer and the part with the juice is all one piece, it's a cartomizer.

A cartomizer is a combination of a cartridge and atomizer all in one. It is a one-piece assembly.

You will want to use cartomizers eventually. You can get by with your cartridge/atomizer combination until you get cartomizers.

All atomizers are named by their thread pattern. If an atomizer has a 510 thread pattern, it will fit any battery with a 510 thread pattern. There are a few minor exceptions to this, but we needn't worry about them.

If you didn't have a cartridge or a cartomizer and all you had was an atomizer, you would need to drip a few drops right into the center of your atomizer. That's "dripping". It ain't mysterious. There are "drip tips" that stick right on the end of your atomizer, where a cartridge would go. They keep you from burning your lips and let you drip right down the center of them without removing the drip tip from the atomizer.

Hope that cleared things up. If you have questions or problems when you get our V-Tube, feel free to PM me and I'll be glad to help.

Meanwhile, I strongly suggest you read the LavaTube forum and, especially, watch the review by Pbusardo.
He's a great reviewer and he'll show you exactly how the V-Tube works so you wont get any surprises.

It's really a lot simpler than it sounds.
