Hey ECF!,

I have a Sigeli 150 and love it, my favorite box mod at the moment, i have a dual 24 gauge 7 wrap build running at 0.3 / 0.2. constantly pushing 5 volts (70-75 Watts) to 5.5 Volts (80-85 Watts)

Question 1: Can anyone recommend a smaller VV / VW box mod that would be easier to carry around but can still push about 75 - 100 watts?

Question 2: Is it possible to get my Dimitri Mech Box Mod to hit as hard if not harder then my Sigieli 150 or is that not possible? If so, can it be done with 24/26/28 gauge wire and a basic setup no more complicated then a parallel build (don't have a power drill a.t.m. to make twisted coils) Please advise.

Thanks guys for listening / reading my questions and any opinions / options / ideas given are really appreciated :)

You'll never get a mech to hit as "hard" as a regulated mod pushing over 4.2V. The regulated mod can simply put out more voltage, and it can also compensate for voltage drop, so that when you set it to 5V, it STAYS at 5V, regardless of drop. On a mech, you'll never actually get a full 4.2V to the coils, because there will inevitably be some internal resistance to the batteries (however low).

Sorry, I can't recommend anything for you though. Fwiw, I vape the dimitri with a plume veil, 24g on 3/32", 6 wraps dual coil. Hits hard to me, though I don't have a 150W VV/VW mod to compare it to.

I have a plumeveil but its just not airy enough for me, i bought the Dimitri Black and the Gold Plumeveil so it meshes really well, Unfortunately even with everything wide open i feel like i'm trying to inhale a golf ball from a vacuum hose lol (i think thats how the saying goes) I think i'm to use to the MutationX v3 and v4's now.

A friend of mine at VaporDNA stats his mech box mod that sports parallel batteries is equivalent to running at 200 watts and lasts him a full day, i should ask him how he does it lol

Just another question on the list,

Added Question 3: Amateur question, but with all the new charts from the old mech calendars etc. it gets me a little confused, i'm wondering how high in volts can i put a 0.3 ohm build with 24 gauge wire? 6 Volts? 7 ? without causing any problems.

i'm running it on the Sigeli 150 with a Mutation X v4 and i have 2 Sony VTC 5's about 2 months old.

If I understand you correctly, you simply either need or want more power to satisfy. I found myself in almost the same boat. I haven't found my answer but you might want to start looking into triple or quad 18650 mods or dual 26650 mods. Understand that this is going to hit you deep in the pocket but you might find what you're looking for. It won't be small but you might get the vape you want.

I have the Dimitri Mech Mod which is Dual 26650's and at 0.2 ohms which is my current build i can produce decent vapor and it hits "ok". When i put that same setup on my Sigeli 150 box mod and set it to 60 - 65 watts it produce the same hit/feeling/flavor. If i put the Sigeli to 85-95 watts it produces so much more vapor and flavor!!

I just wish i could make a coil build on my Dimitri Mech Box that hits like a semi truck speeding down hill lol

Unfortunately, a mech mod will not produce the same continuous power as a regulated mod. As the battery drains, you will get weaker hits. Such is the future of modern vaping. Without the circuitry to sustain power, a battery will give all it can to failure. Regulated mods stop it from over discharging giving you a chance to recharge without the battery becoming completely dead. I love the way some mechs look and even feel but I don't want to have 20 batteries in constant rotation just to vape happy. I have 2 sets for my IPV4 and it can give me temp control if I need it.
