Well I might be with Toronto_Mike on this one . You must expect that you get what you pay for . I don't own any box mods so I can't say if they are the way to go or not . I have a KR(LT) as well but I got it as cheap insurance for taking it where I don't want to risk my provari . I had to reglue the top back on but so far it is working the same as when I got it . I am not expecting a lot from it . A box mod may have a place in my collection so I will follow this thread and see where it goes . Good luck on your search .

wood box mods No wood VV but wood regulated and a plastic VV. Great quality.

I have always liked wood boxes that are done well with exotic woods but not as an ecig at least not so far . If I did get one it would be for the beauty not for the practicality of it . Is there such a thing as an aluminium VV box mod ? That might be a bit more practical IMO . Maybe not I mean would it be of the same quality as a provari for example .

Well, the latest revision of the EVO apparently has fixed the issues that it had previously (proper vent holes, slightly larger ID battery tube, new switch mechanism with higher amperage limit) and it's quite reasonably priced. SmokTech has a new VV coming out in April that's very similar to the ProVari but will apparently drop at somewhere in the neighbourhood of $100. However, its quality level remains to be seen. You could also go with a standard 18650 tube mod like the Silver Bullet or something and get a Kick (if you can get your hands on one).

If you're willing to bite the bullet and skip the 18650, go to two-battery mods:
notcigs Infinity Pro is a solid, durable, tube VV, at $120 including two sets of batteries and charger (though you could skip the charger if you have one), code "ECF Buzzkill".

notcigs VVPV box top-feeder is out, metal body. Paired with an IO6 atty it's a very nice setup (I use Wharfrat's IO6 sleeve with it, to allow use of a normal drip tip, punch the sleeve to take the feed tube).

Reos VV Woodvil is due out very soon, sounds like a week, two at most, same excellent electronics as the notcigs Pro series, wooden box bottom feeder.

thing is, i am really hard on my mods.i have cooked 2 silver bullets. a pure smoker pass through and protege.i bought the lava tube knowing it wouldnt last. just to try out VV, and i really liked it.i usually keep them in my pocket.i figured if i got a bigger box mod it would prevent me from doing so. i vape high ohm cartos so dialing it in is real nice.

keep em coming. the shawmods customs look amazing. i also checked the monkey boxx site and its pretty much what im looking for except the price.hahahaha.mabey......

Rumor has it monkey boxes havent been made for quite some time, hence why in the classies they go for so much, if you find shan on facebook you should see her pics for custom mods she makes people, shes working on a back to the future mod and can only be described with one word "SICK!", also she does do dual 18650 so you could get hell of a lot of vape time, also there is motorcitymodz as well
