Can a low amp rated tactile switch be safely be used with these?

I dont think thats wise as your still running all the current through the switch..best to stick to a 3 amp rated switch or at least a higher volt rated 2 amp switch...sure dont want it welding itself into an on condition

If you're talking about our VV kit, then yes! The chip has a control pin and is turned on and off by a low current. But like berger said, if you plan on building a vv mod and just using the switch for the whole current then you definitely wanted a higher amp rated switch..

Thanks Hoog! I finally get to use one of those round actuator tac. switches I bought in my first order on 4/11/10! I didn't figure out the whole amp rating thing til after my order shipped and didn't want to bug you with a return for MY screw-up. My twin 26500 AW IMR VV BoxMod should be built by this weekend if I can work out the whole work/sleep/other cr@p equation by then.
