I'm about to pull the trigger on upgrading to a VV/VW device, and an important factor is portability. I will probably keep my Halo Triton around for that reason, but it'd be nice to have the option of pocketing or easily transporting my new device without using a lanyard or keychain dongle.

So, do you guys find yourselves pocketing your Vamo, Zmax, or similar devices? I know the dimensions and would normally run in short mode, but I'm having difficulty finding a comparably sized object for comparison at my house.

Well to be blunt, a smaller sized marital aid could give you a not so pretty picture :p

I'd say about the width of a slender broom handle, and 6-9 inches in lenth, depending on the topper used. I have some pretty dang full pockets myself and I keep the Provari with me at ALL times.

My EDC (every day carry) consists of my Fenix PD35 flashlight clipped to my left pocket, my Galaxy s4 inside of a phone wallet in my left pocket, spare 18490 and my Provari also in my left pocket. Fits comfortably.

My right pocket has my knife, Spyderco Endura4 wave, A small cigar holder that possesses band-aids, matches, lockpicks etc, pepper spray (ASP defender) and my car keys, which has quite an assortment as well.

Provari, Vamo, Zmax should be just fine. In 18490 mode, it is comfortable with even a Russian 91%, one of the taller atomizers available right now. I'm confident I'll be alright when it's in 18650 mode as well, the extension cap and new battery are currently on their way to my doorstep =]

ProVari not that much bigger than a Zmax~ I just toss in my pocket & go.
eGos & iTaste type devices I've seen break countless times because they were forgotten in the pocket & snapped.

Sent from a BIG phone.....Galaxy Note 3

You know...I was thinking that it would be roughly the same sizing hahaha. Oh lordy...But alas, I don't own one of those.

Also, man, you carry a TON of stuff in your pockets.

I already have a Halo Triton, so right now I'm looking at a Sigelei Zmax and a KFL+.

And it's good to hear that multiple people don't have any issues with portability. Seeing people vaping on such devices in youtube videos makes them look pretty massive. It might really just be my at-home device and I'll carry the Halo, but it'd be nice to try to make some money back on the Triton package to justify the quick turnaround purchase and just make the new goods my only kit.

I'm basically in the same situation as you, I'm currently using a Halo Triton (and nothing else), and I will be ordering my first VV/VW mod in the next couple of days.

At first portability was one of my main concerns, but now I'm just focusing on getting something I will like (and will last). I have decided to get the iTaste SVD, 1x 18650, 2x 18490's, and 1x 18350 (all AW IMR). I plan to use the 18350 when I'm on the go, but obviously I will carry an extra fully charged battery (or two) just in case. I'm also planning on getting the iTaste VV V3 a few weeks after I get the SVD, because then I can use the V3 for on the go.

Haha good stuff. A number of the sites I have been monitoring ran out of stock while I watched, so it's on to one of the chinese suppliers for the VW, long waits ahead :( What atty are you using or getting?

And just curious, but why the 2 18490's and not just more 18350's? I was considering 2 18350's and one 18650 for similar reasons, and so if I wanted I could stack the 18350's.

Hi Germx,
I take it you're looking for a pv with vw. I only have 18650 Zmax's - not telescoping. I can show you a couple of pics of an 18350 Vamo and and SVD 18350 that might help.

It looks a bit big with an AGA-T+ on top. Below is another Vamo I have with a vivi on top - it gives a better size idea I think:

I guess my hands are medium size - not big anyway. For contrast here's an SVD in 18350 mode:

Photos are a bit old, but the pvs are still working great. Photos make them look bigger than they are I think.

I've always found 18350 fine for during work, and I'd have a spare batt in case I needed it - maybe if going somewhere after work or something. I usually vape with standard resistances, occasionally LR but not sub-ohm. I usually have them in a side pocket of my laptop bag so don't know about pocketing them like you want to.

Segelei Mini Zmax and Mini Provari.jpgMini Provari 2.jpgMini Provari v2.jpg

Comparison pic of a Segelei Mini ZMax alongside a Mini Provari and a Bic Lighter. The Mini ZMax was given to my daughter, the Mini Provari is my out-and-about PV, usually with a Kayfun Lite + or an IBTanked cartotank. The combo fits easily in a front pants pocket; cargo pants are a mod user's friend.

I carry a plastic battery case with a couple of spare AW 18350 IMR batteries for all day battery life.
