VW PV not reading my clearos

All of a sudden I'm getting ohm readings of either 0.0 or 9.9 ohms on my zmax mini no matter which of my clearos (protank, iclear 16, vivi nova) I try on it. So of course it won't fire. Has anyone else experienced this? Any quick fixes?

Your battery is not connecting to your clearos. Try a 510-510 adapter or search how to raise your center pin.

I do have an adapter that I bought so that I could use my T3S on my zmax. I tried all of the clearos with that and I was still getting those readings.

I searched raising the center pin and people talk about doing it, but don't say how. Could anyone please explain just how to do that. I did try taking the end cap off so that the battery is sticking out and pressing the unit down on the table, but that didn't seem to make any difference.

Went to my local B&M and they showed me how to carefully raise the pin by gently prying at the edges with a jewelers screwdriver.
