Hello friends and fellow Vapers!

This is my first ever review of an electronic cigarette, hope it helps. After all, your reviews helped me! So, here goes...

I received my VX2 with charging case (PCC) and a bottle of Camel flavored eliquid from litecigusa yesterday. I ordered it on Tuesday and received it Friday, so great timely shipping. Also, packed with care. I would definitely order from litecigusa again, although their website could use some polish and better pictures of their items. Also, you need to pay with paypal or send a check. I paid with paypal, it was all very easy.

Packaging:
I'm a fan of packaging in general. I love to open things, who doesn't? So, I'm very critical of how things are packed and presented. The packaging on the VX2 is nice, not jaw dropping, just nice. Cardboard box with a magnetic lid, batteries and carts placed in foam slots, and charger underneath. Perfectly acceptable. Instruction leaflet is microscopic, and not very thorough. But, I tend not to read manuals anyway, so no big loss.

The ECigarette:
I charged her up and let her rip last night, and have been using it today. So far, I'm not very impressed. The battery is fine, the cartridges are not very good. The vapor tastes like lighter fluid, burnt cigarette filter, and oil. Definitely nothing like a Marlboro as stated. Maybe it's the atomizer, I've read on a couple of reviews that you need to break them in. But, I like things to work out of the box. The vapor production is good, but the draw is too easy for my tastes. The draw is also very inconsistent. Sometimes you get a full hit, sometimes not. It feels like it lets too much air through, and the throat hit is not very good. Again, perhaps I have a bad atomizer. I am getting a slight nic buzz, so at least that's accomplished.

The atomizer is encased, so when you insert the cartridge, sme of the foil sealing gets stuck up in the atomizer casing. You'll have to get out a paper clip to remove it, I discovered.

On the positive side, it's very attractive to look at and feels great in your hand. The "Cigarette-holder-esque" tips are very Norma Desmond, but I like how it feels. The construction is top-notch, and feels very solid. The fitting for the atomizer and battery is very well made.

The PCC:
Solid plastic construction, but poor interior layout. I was expecting to be able to store a fully assembled unit inside the case. It's too long fully assembled to fit inside. You have to disassemble all 3 parts to store it in the case. I'd like to be able to just whip it out assembled and put it back. The wall charger and USB charger work well. So, in my opinion, the practicality is not very well thought out.

Camel Fluid
Haven't tried it yet.

Overall First Impression
I feel as though I have wasted my money. I should have gotten something else, and probably will. I will continue to fiddle with it, but I'd rather not have to "fiddle". I like things to work right the minute I use them. This doesn't.

I entertain your suggestion and comments.

I have a Blu on order, but apparantly, it's taking forever to get one. they had no problem charging my card, but are having every problem getting my order to me. Poor business on their part. I will review upon arrival. thanks for reading! Hope I helped.

I almost ordered the VX2 as my first PV, myself, but I was put off by the "cigarillo" tip, and I got mixed reviews on it... I ended up getting a 510, and so far, I'm very happy with it..

I was looking at the Blu as a back-up unit, but I'm not sure... LOTS of mixed messages about that thing, and I won't even think about it until they get their act together... They're predicting things should level off by July.

Also, I've been hearing from folks who ordered the Blu that they're not getting charged until their unit ships... You might want to double-check on that.

just for the record - you CAN pay with credit/debit.. In the confirmation email he mentions it.. In order to keep secure, he only does cards by phone..

I'm getting that same oily taste off the M-401 i bought from them this week.. I'm thinking it's got to be the preservative coating on the atty... *shrug* I'm willing to give it a few days to thoroughly test..

On the other hand, I dripped some of the camel juice on my atty to prime it... Taste and flavor on the first few draws were way better than the 5th+.. it might just be that the marlboro flavor sucks. Time will tell, eh?

Awesome man, thanks for that review. I put together a list of VX2 items to buy for the deluxe kit over at Litecigusa totaling well over $200 including 14 flavors, and now after much research I'm leaning toward getting the Full PCC Titan kit from TW. I'm on a serious budget after blowing over $100 on the SS Choice No.9 POS n00b e-crap vaporizer, rookie mistake, I shoulda hit this forum and done some research before making a purchase. I won't make that mistake again. I wanted the Screwdriver, but they sold-out so damn fast. And I don't wanna wait forever for the Prodigy V1, so the Titan PCC Kit it will be :)

Our experience is very good indeed with the VX2. First of all, we smoke about 2 packs per day, so that's about 14 cartons for the two of us. That used to be around $200, buying online from the Indian reservations. Then came April.

With taxes skyrocketing, then the FDA taking control of tobacco products, and now with the PACT Act threatening to make all tobacco products non-mailable, we needed a way out. We didn't want to quit, we don't like being told what to do. So we investigated Roll-Your-Own (RYO), and ran across eCigs.

The RYO still is expensive, what with the April tax having pushed up loose tobacco by about 2,000%. When we found this forum, we did a whole lot of research (WLOR).

Figurehead and Shawn were the deciding factors on the VX2. First of all, the video reviews by Figurehead were both very detailed and non-professional. We watched a commercial infommercial for Blu, and it was good, but not the same as a "real person" using various devices.

Then we emailed Shawn a couple of what must have appeared to be ridiculous questions. Neither of us had a clue about e-smoking (vaping), nor any way to see a device in real life. The immediate responses from LiteCig USA convinced us to give it a shot.

The only complaint we have at all is that there's no easy way to see that a cartridge is going empty. On an analog, you see it burn down, know you're about done, and then it hits the filter. Cartridges just get less vapor. Is that a complaint? Not really; it's just a function of the new technology.

All in all, we see no real difference between the VX2 (and a full cartridge) and an analog cigarette. Having bought a second one, used them for a week, we're now ordering "juice" from Johnson Creek. That'll take care of the cartridge going down (topping off).

The most important cigarette is the first one in the morning. The VX2 handles like a cig, smokes like a cig, feels like a cig, and gives us the nicotine boost of a cigarette. No difference at all.

As far as we're concerned, we're looking for a complete workaround alternative to tobacco. The sooner 40-million smokers walk away from tobacco, the faster the ...... in congress will discover that people will accept only so much hypocrisy. Let the health care programs go broke. Let the children get sick. The S-CHIP program is utter nonsense, as was the $300-Billion stolen from the tobacco industry for "education."

Screw 'em all. The VX2 is a brilliant piece of technology! We had no problems at all, other than understanding exactly how to use it. The tinfoil covering the first 5 carts that come with the starter kit has us a bit fooled, until Figurehead's video showed how the atomizer is supposed to pierce the foil. It doesn't, so we used tweezers and removed it manually.

All in all, it's a terrific device. We'll buy 6oz of loose tobacco and 200 tubes, along with a Top-O-Matic, and use RYO for the times we need analogs (fishing, running around outside).

Respectfully, I kind of think your review of the VX2 was a little premature and maybe a little harsh. Seriously, how many e-cigs work right out of the box? The bitter atty taste is pretty much a given on most new atty's and again most atty's need a small break in period. If you researched before your purchase, Figurehead mentions the foil on the carts and if I remember correctly... recommends removing it. (also the carts have no caps which is a minus). I think that once you give this e-cig a chance you'll like it, but in the mean time you may have turned off a few people who MIGHT have really enjoyed this e-cig. :(

I'm not against negative reviews if it's warranted, but I got the impression you didn't give this one a fighting chance. JMHO:oops:
