VX2 - is it nomal for a new atty to get really hot and taste like crap?

Batery is fully charged with new cart. The first few puffs were ok, lots of vapor, but no taste or throat hit. Then it gets hot as heck and tastes like something's burning and burns my throat. The cart looks fine when I take it apart.

Is this just new atty syndrome? Will it settle down?

Do I have to just keep smoking it until I can stand it?

Just keep breaking it in. I have found that PVs (personal vaporizers) are all very individual. My advice is to keep at it and just see.

I as well have notice that it has taken me up to a week and a 1/2 to get rid of the gross flavor. Just be gentle with the new atty and it will be good to you in the long run!! You also might want to let the new cart sit on their for a while so the atty absorbs some of that flavoring. Good luck!!

DO NOT DRIP on the VX2!!!!! It kills the battery. If you need to, take the atomizer off, set it on end, drip a few drop on it, let it sit (and drain), wipe it off, THEN vape with it.

You need to keep an atty moist. Dry attys taste horrible and burn out faster. Just do NOT drip on a VX2 atty when it's connected to the battery, it will kill it. Also let the atty drain some before connecting to a battery.

1-2 drops on the heating coil and a few hours to dry out.

as has been said here many times, the VX2 should NOT be dripped on.

I'm not talking about direct dripping. You remove the atty from the battery, then put a few drops on it. Let it drain before hooking it back up to the battery.

Again, a dry atty will taste bad and burn out faster. Direct dripping on a VX2 will kill the battery.

What kind of juice do you have? I'm vaping Oriental and Power Puff out of two different VX2s and they're both giving good throat hits.

There are a few things which contribute to a good throat hit. But yes, one of them is juice, no matter what e-cig you are using. What's the nic content of the juice you are currently using?

Sorry didnt mean to hijack your thread - I'll figure my issues out in another thread.

Well too new to offer any advice but I can say my other vaporizers heat up pretty hot with 2-3 back to back hits......the VX2 on the other hand only gets mildly warm.

I'm not getting any kind of throat hit either. I've tried using my TW 36mg in different flavors and from other places. I've only had mine for a little over a week so I may be just breaking it in? As of right now, I'm not a huge fan of the VX2.

manual battery. has a button on it so that wind/sound will not set off the battery like they do now.

Besides having a VX2-m kit, you'll have the manual batteries in all colors too, right? I definitely need one or more (probably 2) manual red batteries and am trying to resist the urge to spring for a blue kit as well.

Will you be getting the passthroughs in the same order so they can be ordered at the same time (in the same order) as the new manual batteries? Given how much I am at a computer, not to have a passthrough just makes no sense. Thanks for info.
