Waiting on my 510 eGo XL Kit...

Hi,

A friend introduced me to vaping by letting me borrow a 510 and filling two cartomizers for me to use. Of course I was instantly hooked, and want to replace the stinky cigarettes asap!

I've ordered a 510 eGo XL Kit with carrying case, and I'm still waiting on its arrival. In the meantime, I've been researching and trying to understand the world of atomizers, cartomizers, drippers, etc. I have to admit I'm still a little confused!

Anyway, I have a question...
My friend told me to get low-resistance cartomizers for my new kit, but the description on the retailer's site says

"Low Resistance(less than 2.0 ohms) atomizers and cartomizers should not be used with eGo batteries."

I assume this is a precaution to save the battery from damage?

So, I was wondering how many of you actually use low-resistance cartomizers with this model, and if so, how long have you been doing so?

You can use it, it puts out the same power as a 510, but you'll burn the atomizer out quick, you need to buy LR atomoziers specifically made for the ego

This might seem silly, but I'm also confused about all the different branding of eGo PV's.

For instance, when searching for eGo accessories I get a lot of results for the "Joye eGo". Is this just a different branding of the same thing? The device I've purchased is described as "510 eGo XL". I guess what I need to know is if I can assume that I am purchasing the correct product as long as it is marked as "eGo"?

ego=riva=tornodo..and others are just 510 models w/ larger diameter batts
yours says xl..probably longer too.. standard is 650mha ego/750 mha riva

you can use LR on this Mega with no problem, the reason this is loOked down on is because many of people chain vape constantly and heat up the bat and the PCB goes on them and I mean really chain vaping, as long as you not constantly over doing it you will be fine, I have been running probably 30-35 of these Ego/Riva Batts since they have came out, I have had 2 go bad and it was exactly from that vaping like a freight train with them, you may also want to look into getting some of Issacs 2ohm LR 510 Attys over at Ikenvape.com these work very nicely on the ego/riva type Batts and don't get quite as hot as the 1.5OHM LR Atty plus if you happen to get 2 of these batts just load them both up and switch back and forth giving one a rest. you can also look into Ikenvapes 2 ohm carto in the gold series, these are a very good carto to, he also sells a dripping carto that is out of this world good

Excellent, thanks for the recommendation. I immediately bought 5 of those beautiful Gold V2 Drip-Style Cartomizers.
I would have grabbed a couple of Atomizers as well, but they were sold out.

wait until you get a mod E-cig like the provape,Bombshell,Etc before you use any low resistance attys, or cartomizers. Stay around 3ohm or to what says 510 cartomizer. The ones that are LR will say so

I suggest these cartomizers: FIVE (5) Joye 510 compatible e-Cigarette blank low resistance cartomizers (Manufactured by Boge)

They work very well with the eGo.
