Waiting on Vapemail

Since we ain't on any topic here I'm going to give you guys fair warning...I'll be a mess on Friday the 21st. That's the day my mom passed away 5 years ago. I really miss my mom desperately! I can only wish I could talk to her again...life would be sooo much better!
Very understandable.
My Dad died 10 years ago, and I still miss him awfully every day, and often want to tell him things. Mum died 29 years ago, and it's sort of in a comfortable place now, but I do miss her.
A very hard loss to deal with - so sorry.
It's hard to loose those we love so much. I am sorry for everyone's loss. I just wanted to take time to extra special hug Lynn and Dani. I lost Daddy 15 years ago and I can't imagine life without Mom, even though she is so different now. She is so different, as much of my family is, since the passing of my nephew at 22. This has devastated our family and the last time I started back to smoking was when he passed. Each day is extremely hard to face...especially if you start 'thinking'. I know your life will never be the same Dani, no matter the time that passes. I see it every day as Marcus was my sister's only child. Big HUGGIES to you both!!

Wow Tracey! That would really be hard! I can't imagine the horror of losing a child! My dad passed away in 2000. It was not a hard time for me because I knew that he was finally at peace. Don't think bad of me but my dad had demons and they would finally be put to rest when he passed. One of you here knows the story.
The loss of my mom was difficult because after my grandma(the 2nd most important person in my life after my mom) passed away in 2004, she was the only one left. My brother passed away in 2012.
similar situation.. also in 2000. didn't get to know him well until near the end, and thankful we had that time together.
I have 2 girls.. losing a child... my lawd.. can't even imagine. my heart wrenches.
Some days it seems too hard doesn't it. I was very close to my Dad - he was my best friend all my life, and I told him that two days before he died, and how I always felt that as long as he was by my side or there, all would be well. I didn't tell him that I couldn't imagine my world without him in it.
He was the first of 5 losses in 18 months. 3 close relatives and both our dogs ..one just two weeks after my Dad. It ended with our second one who was only 7.
In that time we also had many less devastating disasters, but it all added up to us feeling as though our world was caving in around us. We likened it to being on a raft with pieces falling off each day.
Nothing has been the same since, and it did change us all in some way or another.
I'm so sorry for everyone who suffers such losses. They're mostly inescapable, so we learn to deal with them in whatever way we can.
Good understanding people such as those here can help make us stronger

I do have to call someone out though. ReigntheGamer sent me a pm that evening asking what my email addy was. I thought he was going to send me the picture he had posted earlier of him with the tin foil hat on(which, I do have to say, still makes me laugh anytime it pops into my head! I love that picture!!) so I gave it to him. When I checked my email when I got home from work I find he's sent me an NT gift certificate. Is he over the top or what!! Travis, I love you dearly!! If it weren't for the GC, I never would have been able to purchase the ACB on Tuesday. Travis, you my man, are AWESOME and never let anyone tell you otherwise! YKWIM!

Awwww you guys, I am grinning ear to ear! And that means so much today especially, wasn't looking forward to the holidays this year but stuff like this makes it a lot better.

Edit: We help each other here, Lynn. People do things for each other here because they are good, kind, and because they want to. One day, it will be your turn. This is how loving families are.
