I may be incorrect, but I'm under the impression the Halo Triton has 808 threading, in which case the Smkotech (which is 510) won't fit on it without an adaptor, in fact I'm not sure there are any attys for direct dripping that have native 808 threading. I apologize if I'm wrong.

Ocelot is right - the Triton has 808 threading and will need an adapter to work with 510 threaded accessories.

You can actually use a 901 atomizer on 808 threaded batteries. The 901 is still considered by many to be one of the best dripping atomizers out there, despite the fact that they are much more prone to leaking than the 306s/510s.

I'd strongly recommend a "disposable" ready made dripping atomizer, like the 901, to begin with. You can get into rebuildables later on if you decide that you like dripping. It's not that RDAs are particularly difficult to learn/master - it's just that, in my opinion, you should have a reasonable basis for comparison.
