Can someone explain why it is that I always want to smoke an analog after I vape, and then after the analog I want to vape... Do you just have to white-knuckle the analog cravings to get off of them?
It keep reading about people pitching the analogs with no problems but I am still searching for that sweet spot...

Would appreciate some advice! TIA!

Welcome to ECF btw.

1st tought would be to tell you to up your nic lvl btu i dont know where you at.

24mg/ml would certainly calm your cravings.

I went fast down to 18mg/ml and hover between 12 and 18 now.

It can take a good 20 minutes before your vape make its effect felt.

Vaping makes getting off analogs MUCH, MUCH easier, but it is still a challenge.

I got off of analogs in about 3 days, but still had cravings for weeks.

At the three month mark, I finally broke down and bought a pack smoked a few and pitched the pack, since then I've had small cravings every now and then, but nothing major.

After vaping for about a year I can say that vaping has completely replaced analogs and there will be no going back.

Good luck!

From what I have spoken to my brick and mortar dealer when that happens its because you are using to low a nic level. But it also could just be in your head.

I have never had that craving in the 26 days i've been off analogs, but I did find that when I was angry/stressed at a situation I smoked an analog because I was so used to doing it and it has a much faster effect time.

Other than that one instance though I float between 12mg and 18mg nic levels and I haven't had a craving since I started using my eGo-T. But I also vap a lot more than I smoked so I can keep about the same feeling as with analogs and I never have the nic fit.

First welcome to ECF!

You only get nicotine (not the other chemicals you are withdrawing from) with vaping and it's not nearly as efficient a delivery system (water droplets vs smoke particles ) You WILL still have cravings but it will pass IF you DO Not smoke.

I smoked > 2PAD of "Reds" so I found I needed 36mg nicotine at first and it took a bit of hard vaping to get the cravings to go away. I'd smoke at times (at first especially) and found it just didn't satisfy as much as vaping (and tasted Terrible to boot) .

As said above, get some higher nicotine and vape like a research monkey when cravings get bad I looked at it as " every cigarette NOT smoked was a victory" and soon I just didn't bother to light up. I still have a full pack of smokes that are likely stale by now LOL

What kind of PV are you using , maybe the vapor / TH is not giving you satisfaction ?

I am using an ego-t with carts instead of the tank. I have orderd dual coil carts and wainting for the shippment. I use 18 and 24 mg nic but have ordered some 36 to see if that will help me to make the switch complete. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the welcome. I will try to fight the craving and have ordered new carts and 36 mg nic to see if that will help.

Yeah having a brick and mortar close at hand is really nice. They have been a tremendous help, and getting to try every flavor of juice they had in every nic level was AWESOME. I think that was a lot of the reason I was able to quit the analogs instantly.

I was able to get the liquid that satisfied my taste exactly and in the perfect nic levels to help me out.

I love the internet because there are 1000's of different options available, but i still mostly buy there because I kind of feel they saved me from analogs (and i only went in on a whim instead of because i wanted to get off analogs lol)

Hello and welcome to ECF !
As already suggested, it would be good to have more info on what equipment you are using etc.

The other thing I find a bit interesting is that you vape and then smoke and then vape again. If smoking had you 100% covered would you be vaping right after smoking? Perhaps it is the way you have received vaping and what it should accomplish??

While smoking, I slowed everything down in my brain. I was able to clearly identify:
1. What made me reach for a cigarette
2. How quickly I lit the cigarette after putting it in my mouth
3. What I enjoyed about the process

The very short version:
As it turns out, anxiety made me "reach" and the only thing I actually enjoyed was the throat hit. I came to ECF and found an industrial grade solution that could easily cover a 3pad + smoker that also delivered the necessary throat hit. The rest is history.

If I only had a small 510 available, I would have never been able to quit. A much lighter smoker, on the other hand, might be just fine with a small cigarette lookalike.

So knowing your smoking patterns and what you enjoy is very useful.

All the best!
