Now that I'm into RBAs, I'm spending twice as much on liquid, so, I've decided give DIY a shot.

I want to ask opinions on what flavors to start with, to try and replicate my favorite vendor liquid (edit- Mr. E 616), it's one of the 555 variants out there which is actually nothing like the usual nutty 555. I'd like to name it but first I'll ask if it's ok to mention specific companies here, in an attempt to replicate what they sell.

So, is it ok if I name the maker of my favorite juice, or is that frowned upon like cloning?

It's okay to name juices and vendors. That's what this Forum is all about.

Getting into DIY is simple. Don't go nuts buying flavors. You only need the basics to get started.

For any 555 mix you'll need either a 555 or DK TB concentrate. Also some Acetyl Pyrazine or AP.

Aside from PG, VG and Nic, the following flavor concentrates should be in any DIY'ers kit :

Vanilla
Caramel
EM ( Ethyl Maltol )
Bavarian Cream
Graham Cracker
Honey
Peanut Butter
TA or ( tobacco Absolute )
Lemon juice
ACV or ( Apple Cider Vinegar )

Add to these the fruit, nut and tobacco flavors you think you'll enjoy. Then get the ejuicemeup calculator. Read, read and read some more.

For 555 recipes just check the recipe thread, there are several.

Awesome, thanks for that list, boomerdude.

The flavor I want to at least come close to is Mr.E 616. I have no way to explain what it tastes like as I have zero experience with flavoring. I can say, I've been hooked on it for almost 3 years and have continually tried to find something similar or better, with no success. Most 555s are very different from one another, but this really stands on it's own to the point that I would not even call it that. It may have a nutty flavor like hazelnut (not even sure what HN tastes like aside from my coffee creamer), but the thing that I feel really sets it apart from a 555 is this spicy, perfumy thing about it.
