If using a regulated mod, the coil, be it mesh or traditional coil has no effect on the battery life. Your power setting does. Mesh is no different than a traditional coil, the same physics apply.
Well, yes. Which is why I said it. I’m running VW TC. Looking for how many V I’m drawing. I suspect it’s higher than it would be with a traditional single coil.

By design, a regulated circuit separates the coil from the battery, so coil resistance does not contribute to battery drain - your prescribed wattage does (or voltage if using a VV device). You set your device to 50 watts, regardless of the coils resistance, the circuit will request 50 watts from the cells plus a little for efficiency.

The circuit will take that 50 watts from the cells and convert it as needed to be applied to your coil. 50 watts into a 0.5 ohm coil = 5 volts 10 amps. 50 watts into a 0.15 ohm coil is 2.74 volts 18.26 amps. Both cases are still 50 watts and at the battery, 50 watts with a single 3.7 volt charge cell = 13.5 amps minus what is required for efficiency.

You own a DNA, open Escribe then the Device Monitor. You can plot the battery drain along with voltage and current at the coil. Using the same wattage with different resistances, battery drain is not influenced by coil resistance.

Mesh coils do not eat batteries with a regulated device. A users prescribed wattage is what contributes to battery drain.

And to add, mesh is inherently low resistance. For a set prescribed wattage, the lower the resistance the lower the voltage but current increases. Calculated as such V = √PxR then I = V/R. So to say a low resistance coil requires more voltage is incorrect.

Which RDA do you use?:)
I use several & really have to many for just me, but I'm still buying I'm addicted to the cute ones..
Just got a vaporesso zero & it works fine..
My favorite I use at home is the vaporesso luxe mini w/aspire nautilus mini tank..
But when I'm out on the town I take a couple pod devices w/me !

Just so you know POD's are not RDA's. Nor is the Nautilus mini.

RDA = rebuildable dripping atomizer
RTA = rebuildable tank atomizer

Do you build your own coils and wick them?

Cheers :)

*shock and awe intensifies* what're the coils you have in that one? Ni or SS?
Those are actually kanthal. There's not alot of room so they aren't very big. It came out at .16ohms after all said and done. It was wicked and juiced and put on the HOG for a few hits. I did it more to see if it could be done. Definitely not in any way practical. It has triple ni80 coils in it now. It's fun to play with but it's not a daily user.

I beg to differ good sir, mostly because my day is continuously punctuated with:

*knock* "uhhhh Boss, you got a minute?"

*screams in head "NO" but remembers mandatory 'emotional sensitivity training'* "Sure"

"Boss.....I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT MY FEEEWINGS!!!!"

At which point I would love to be able to blow a massive cloud and go "NINJA VANISH!!" or this:

All the vertical coil attys have issues like that. they’re more effort to coil and more effort to wick. I’ve got a big block 454. It’s a 4 coil atty. I squonked it by drilling out the center pin, which helped it a lot, but I tend to leave the cotton in it too long because wicking it is just kind of a PITA. Great flavor though.

I have just what you need for that but haven't seen it for awhile. The Vicious Ant Goliath 30mm RDA. You can put 8 coils in that one. Fog up a room in no time.

Also, just on that note.....do you ever think that the Facehuggers from Alien were a response to people NOT shutting the hell up, and the Xenos were all like "ARRRGHHHHH I CAN'T DESTROY POPULATIONS WITH THIS WHINEY RACKET!!!" and then light bulb.
