Bull City Vapor - Best Prices on DIY e-liquid Supplies
has very good prices on small quanities, I would suggest starting with small bottles of flavorings.
read as much as you can in the diy forum..
good success!

+1 on what doots said. Bull City is my go-to for DIY stuff as well. The Vapers Tek nicotine is the purest I've found so far. As for flavorings, taste is subjective, but so far my favorites have been from the Wera Garden line of Inawera.

Good luck with DIY. As others have said, make sure you do your homework before getting started, especially from a safety standpoint, but once you get going you'll save a ton of money compared to pre-made stuff, plus you know exactly what's in it. I'm using stuff I got from Bull City, and from a quality standpoint, I think my juices are better than what I buy in the stores (ok, I may be a bit biased, and the exception to the rule is Five Pawns; that's good stuff).

Also, welcome to ECF! This is a great place to be, and welcome to the family! :vapor:

I have been a diy guy for about 4 months , I started to get my vg and nic from myfreedomsmokes.com but their nic seemed to go from 24mg to 200mg before I finished the 250ml bottle , I suggest looking into rtsvapes.com , and the perfumers apprentice

I have also been doing DIY for about 4 months now and I found the best nic/pg/vg prices (per ml) at wizard labs and most of the flavors at RTS and Wizard labs were just re-bottled and marked up from the perfumers apprentice and capella flavors. (I went with a gallon of each of pg and vg :D) but I agree with the suggestion of starting out with the smaller bottles first. and you will want to get three syringes (1 ml for flavorings, 3ml for small batches, and 10-12 ml for larger batches) and a few blunt tip needles in the 14 to 16 gauge range (the plastic part of the needle that connects to the syringe on mine are usually purple). If your local vape shop doesn't carry needles you can order them on amazon and the best bet for syringes is amazon or a farm supply store in the veterinary supply section. I find the syringes are the best for accuracy and the larger needles a must for the thicker VG. You will also want a few empty dropper bottles to mix into. for starting out I would recommend just rinsing and reusing the bottles you get juice in from the vape shop but the vape shops sometimes sell empty bottles to. If you decide to stick with it there are some good bottles on amazon or fasttechDOTcom. Also the program eJuice Me Up is great for calculating how much of what to put in the mix and saving your recipes.

good luck and welcome to ECF.

Edit: Bull City (now bookmarked :) thanks) but wizard labs is still better priced on Nic. and has longer needles to get to the bottom of the bottle.

I'm with ya, it seems like the way to go for sure.

All I've done is manage to mix a few different versions of some juices to make a super blend that just worked for me. Also, there is something to be said for having the same flavor in a variety of nicotine amounts in order to vary how much of that flavor gets puffed on.

Not just cost savings, but also having more options, are perks alright... And having a legit reason to play mad scientist from time to time!

For all things DIY head on over to the DIY ELiquid Forum. Make sure to read all the "stickies". Also check out the blogs by ECF members Hoosier & dannyv45.

dannyv45 posted this thread a while ago. Wonderful information here: I've updated my recommended reading for people new to DYI.

I don't just buy all my flavors from one flavoring company. I primarily use Flavor Arts but there are some flavors that TFA/Inawera/Capella and others do better (and better/best is subjective depending on what you like). Start out with a few recipes you want to make, research those flavors to see who does it best and then try making a few recipes.

Here are some threads you may like to read through for different flavoring companies. Many of the posts include recipes and comments about a specific flavor.

1. Flavor Arts (FA) - Pure Vapes has 3ml FlavourArt flavorings
2. The Flavor Apprentice (TFA) - The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread
3. Inawera (IW) - Inawera - a few reviews
4. Hangsen - The Hangsen Thread
5. VapingZone - New Super Concentrated Flavors & New Super Concentrated Flavors - Part 2

just 2cents to anyone new tryin DIY.. take it slow and make sure you do the reasearch on supplies and technique.. get in a hurry and you wind up takin a big vapin hit of ye old nightmare flavor dubbed skunk .... with a bit of week old roadkill on the side  (guilty) or makin the horible mistake of pickin up the wrong used/unrinsed dropper and turning a 90ml batch of what was shaping up to be a sweetest most smooth blend into liquid black pepper with a mix of sawdust. (yes the flavors can be that sensitive) and dont forget to try new flavors on different watts/volts and steep times! good luck!

I started out with a bottle of 36mg from wizardlabs. It is good. Vt from Bull City is better. And I like Nude Nicotine the best. but that is really not important at this point. Safety Safety Safety. I started with the 36mg/ml so that if I screwed up it wasn't a super big deal. Then I scaled up to the stronger nic level.

if you like menthol it is super easy to mix with tobaccos and vanillas. It is something to vape while you perfect other flavors. I went a little crazy. I have about 70 flavors.

and there is no set scale each person is different. something may be great to me at 8% and you are like ick too much or can't taste it. Start low. It is easier to fix.
