Years ago I got a 100' of 28AWG SS430 really cheap from 'etsy'.

Just curious why you want to try this. Is it because of 430's higher temperature resistance compared to 316? That shouldn't be an issue unless you are well over 1000 degrees F. Or is it because of 430's lower Nickel content compared to 316? That could be helpful if you have a nickel allergy. 430 also has a slightly lower electrical resistance compared to 316.

SS430 has a much better (while still not very good) TCR than SS316 and a better choice for using for TC.
