Let me just start out by saying, don't judge
So I mixed up a batch of juice for my husband. He likes Bloog's Havana Select and I've been trying to duplicate it. So I made this batch-
Making a 30 ml bottle
20% VG
30% PG
40% Nicotine @60 mg
10% combo of flavors
He wanted a nic level at about 24, so I think I'm good so far.
He says "I want more vapor & less honey, honey".
So here's where I get all mad scientist-ee and need serious help.
I added to the existing 30 ml
6 ml fa tuscan ultimate
1 ml rts cohiba cigar
6 ml rts cuban supreme
4 ml fa honey - shh, don't tell him
90 ml VG :nun: dear lord why? I have no idea why I do what I do sometimes.
12 ml rts nic 60% then I ran out, so grabbed another bottle
14 ml rts nic 100%
Then it occurs to me, I have no freakin idea what my nic content is now. So I shut the lab down until I get some genius to help me.
It's all mixed up in a big jar and I need to know if
A. am going to poison my husband? or B. have a cranky husband because he's not getting enough nic.?
All I have left is 100% nic to work with. Can someone please undo this cluster f*#k for me?
Thanks

OK, so you started with 30 ml, 40% of which was 60mg/ml of nicotine... so that's 720 mg of nicotine.
You then added, if I'm reading that right, 12ml of 60mg/ml nic juice, and 14 ml of 100mg/ml nic juice, for a total of (720 + 1400) 2120 more mg of nicotine, a grand total of 2840 mg of nicotine.

Since your total concoction seems to be 163ml (30ml, plus all the stuff you added), you would now have a nicotine content of 2840mg of nicotine in 163 ml, or about 17.4mg/ml.

To get to 24mg/ml you'd need a total of 3912mg of nicotine. Adding about 10ml of your nic juice will get you pretty close to that. I'd then need to do all that math again on 173ml, but that's probably close enough.

I hope it tastes good--- thats alot of stuff...lol The first thing to remember is the flavors you mentioned are tobaccos and you cannot mix and immediately vape. It has to steep at least a week before a true flavor determination can be made. Next time make smaller batches that can be tweaked easier and plus they steep a little faster. Good luck--- you certainly aren't lacking in courage

Thanks Shilo, Yeah I wen't from 30 to 60 to OMG GET THE PICKLE JAR! Really fast.
I hate tobacco flavors but I have a nack for mixing, I think I'm part witch.

It smells yummy so I want to stop now once I hit the right nic level and let it steep.
Man I made a banana cream pie and a mint candy yesterday that are to die for.
I'd love to figure out a nice sweet lemonade, no luck yet.

Just some random observations.

1. I'm envious. I have a great wife that feeds me and washes my clothes. In return, I mow and take out the garbage. How can I get her to make my juices too?

2. Trick - I'm simply impressed.

3. Honestly now..do you think he will notice 17 mgs vs 24 mgs of nic? If your recipe is that good, he'll over-vape anyways.

Great work with the math.

Do you mind sharing your mint candy recipe? Every time I mix, I try a new mint recipe, but I've yet to get one that's just right. I'm always looking for new ideas :)

Okay you asked for it :p I kind of used my iphone e-liquid program but I need one that calculates in ml's instead of %
I'm not sure my nic level but was shooting for around 10 mg
Maybe Trick can tell me what I've got here.

Tracy's Dandy Candy Mint (Just made that up in case I become famous)
2 ml Candy Cane - Flavor West
2 ml Vanilla Swirl F.A (F.A. = Flavor Apprentice from RTS Vapes)
2 ml Belgian Waffle F.A.
2 ml Sweetener F.A.
4 ml Cotton Candy (non circus) F.A
6 ml Mint Candy F.A.
.30 ml Ulta Mint TopVapez
.30 ml Marshmallow F.A.
.30 Whipped Cream F.A.
Pinch? Menthol Crystals
48 ml V.G. RTS
12 ml P.G. RTS
20 ml 50% RTS Nicotine in V.G. base

My husband does the shopping, a LOT of the cleaning, cooking and works for the railroad so he's on call 24/7. He takes such good care of me I'm always looking for ways to make it up to him  Plus I'm really creative and LOVE doing this. I don't know that he'd notice, but I want to give him what he asked for, seriously, ten years of marriage and I still think the guy is the best in the world!

So ignoring everything but the "Amount and Strength" lines could I keep adding amounts of flavoring and it will tell me how much PG/VG and Nic I need to make a certain amount at a target level?

Not that automatic. First add the flavoring then adjust the PG line ( +/- )to maintain the same PG/VG. Same with the VG nic ( +/- ) for the strength. Remember, flavorings are PG, your nic is VG. Changing those amounts effects the total PG/VG/mg of the mix.

So do I include the flavorings as PG as well as flavoring? Lost you there.
