Warning: Cupid30 Coupon Only Deducts 10%, Not 30%

Good grief. I just placed an order using the CUPID30 coupon (which the website showed as "30% deducted"), and then noticed that only a puny amount actually came off of the order total -- about 10%, rather than 30%!!!!!


Off course, online chat is offline right now, so I left a message there -- my next effort will be to call V4L -- but I wanted to warn others that the website is FLUNKING MATH right now.

Well then, that's the problem, as I ordered several items including 2 VTs. (Funny, I saw no mention of their being excluded anywhere on the coupon notice. Or anywhere else.) Had I known that, I wouldn't have made the order as I did, IF AT ALL.

When did V4L start excluding little subcategories of items from its sales??? About the same time it began sending out filthy "new" and/or DOA batts as poor Cyrus Vap and others have experienced?

What is going on up there in Chicagoland??

I am a very unhappy fangirl.

EDIT: I just checked the coupon again. In both the e-mail header, AND the coupon itself in big bold letters, its says the discount is for (and I quote) "EVERYTHING." Then at the bottom of the coupon, in small black print, there is an asterisk which says "Some exclusions may apply." Uh-huh. Doesn't say which, or why.

"Everything." You keep using that word. I do not believe it means what you think it means.

I'm sorry that you are disappointed Eleanor. We have been putting that some exclusions may apply on all of the emails since the Titans launched and there is a disclaimer on the category page when you pull up Vapor Titan batteries. Unfortunately due to the cost of the batteries we are not able to include them in the big discounts. I apologize for any misunderstanding.

I think it's BS too. I ordered a Titan as well and just looked.. sure enough it didn't take off 30%. You should put on the email "excludes Titans"! Be upfront with your customers! I'm ....... My email says "30% off everything" I didn't think Vapor 4 Life was a "small/hidden print" company.

Vapor 4 life has such a huge customer/fan base.

Shame on them.

To be fair, I didn't misunderstand at all. When the Titans were launched, it said on their page that they are excluded from sales. I thought everyone knew about it. And then on the sale email it said that some exclusions apply. I assumed that mean the Titans. Sure, maybe from now on they should say "Titans excluded," but you're responsible for reading the exclusions.

I've been ordering from V4L for over a year now, and never had to bring a magnifying glass nor fly-speck every freaking product page before to make sure I wasn't "missing" some exclusionary carve-out.

I'm dropping this. For now.

I've got one Titan on it's way to me. I ordered it last week during the 50% off all USA juices sale. I am anxiously awaiting it, but at $24.95, it will be awhile before I order another one. I certainly won't be collecting every color, like I have with another gen. 2 company. I figure once the novelty of these being new wears off and if V4Life sees the sales on them slowing down, maybe in a month or so, we'll see the price drop, or the Titans being eligible for discounts. I'm willing to wait or just stick with the regular King Diamonds. JMHO

I would be PO'ed too if I thought I was getting a discount of 30% and it exluded what i was purchasing. Been in 'Big Box' retail for awhile now and they have been cleaning up their act, but sometimes.....
