Most definately check into what you are putting into your body. I don't blame you one bit. I just know that I haven't breathed this good since I was 12. I was one of them 13-14yr old kids who thought it was cool to smoke. Never put them down since until I found ecigs. Looking at chemical lists on whats in a single cigarette has me more concerned than whats in a flavoring is my point. Thanks for the thread. It outta get interesting quick.

Let me first say this: Ive been vaping Cinnabomb for 2 days now seeing no adverse reaction yet.

However, recalling being told as a child that smoking cinnamon would close up my air way, and seeing this post i thought i would do a bit of googling before i take another vape...

Here is what ive come up with so far... i say so far.. as this is the only really viable source of information that i could find on the topic,, either pro or con... the mass majority of results were wikianswers/wiki yahooanswers etc.. which are not reliable sources for valid info...

MSDS

see section 11.. page 5ish.

Id be very interested to see this topic expand with some proof one way or the other.

Yep, checking would make me feel better BEFORE I use it. Your point is well taken but, would you inhale a single chemical that may cause MORE damage than 4000 chemicals? Rat Poison may have fewer chemicals than a cig but, I don't think I'd smoke it, even if it helped me quit cigs ( and I bet I'd be a non-smoker real quick too )

Funny you mention Rat Poison.... Arsenic, commonly found in rat poison... also 1 of 4000 chemicals found in analogs. So yea YOU WERE smoking rat poison, to a degree.

Google yields plenty more

People have been inhaling steam with oils for a hundreds of years with no ill effects. Think aromatherapy - essential oil in water for steam inhalation.

That said, some oils are irritants so if you have asthma, you probably should avoid liquids like cinnamon or wintergreen or ask the supplier specifially if they use oil. I'm pretty sure the notice on the Lorann's is a CYA.

Also there are some oils that probably are best never to be inhaled even in steam or vapor. Here is a list I found that was pretty good: Essential oil safety

By the way. Many of the tobacco liquids from China always have had oils such as rose oil and tobacco absolute oils in them. This is an old thread with the information from a well known liquid supplier. Chemicals listed include oil (1) and the other chemical list the standard safty warnings (which are common, but are used in the liquid safely, so don't freak out about it!). People have been vaping these ingredients over 2 years with no (reported) problems except allergy/asthma triggers.

This was one of the first e-liquid ingredient disclosure/testings that were made public on the forum: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...smoking-liquid-about-hit-uk-20.html#post39187 (Note: At that time, it was made in China, I'm not sure what TW is doing today).

As a last note... that thread is worth a whole read since it shows how long and how dedicated members have been to having a safe liquid to vape!

Been doing DIY and I was vaping an orange cinnamon that was loranns... both oils...
I made a particularly strong batch yesterday.

Within a couple minutes after vaping my strong homemade concoction, I nearly collapsed... I had 5 agonizing minutes where it felt like I was getting stabbed through the right lung... I could barely breathe. It was the second most agonizing five minutes of my life... the most agonizing was the night after my back surgery.

I saddled up to go to the hospital, but slowly started feeling better.

I thought I had a lung partially collapse... had something similar 15 years before...

In any case, I didn't go through with going to the hospital... I am a chicken about hospitals and I felt well enough to put myself on monitor status... I stayed on red alert...

Saw an RN today... she checked me out.

I still feel a bit traumatized... but only getting better/not worse.

I am pretty sure the pain was a direct result of vaping. Maybe it was the strength of oils... because as Hellen said, we have all probably been vaping oils a little here and there.

This scared the cra* outta me...

Hospitals also scare me... but I will go if I feel these symptoms return...

Apologies for nothing conclusive here... just a strong suspicion...

I am selling all of my DIY supplies... I think I'd rather just stay away from mixing my own after that horrible experience.
