I know a couple of folks who have one. They are solid.I may end up getting the clone to see if I actually like it as much as I think I will.

And that is exactly WHY they are called Claptons.
Look folks. All of that stuff is hilarious and I expected as much but; we need to get real here. Inexpensive mech mods are accidents waiting to happen and those accidents damage the reputation of our vice/hobby/NRT at a time when we cannot afford it. It's powerful ammunition for people with about as much sense as the subject of the OP. The militant defense of these devices when safer options are available is not helpful.

A responsible vape shop staff will make sure that a newb knows what they are doing rather than just taking the money and pushing them out the door. If ALL vape shops did this, there would be a LOT less bad publicity about vaping. Mechs themselves aren't any more dangerous than a flashlight. Dumbes using them incorrectly IS a HUGE problem for the vaping industry though.
One problem is the abundant online shops. any one can go and click that yes they are 18+ and buy any mod they want... no shop owner to ask "Do you know how to use this?" Im lucky to have a plethora of good shops around where I live and work. They all work with customers about their knowledge when making sales. I have seen numerous sales refused in many of them because the buyer simply had no clue and didnt want to learn... Ive heard the comment "Your a shop, Im a customer. take my damn money and sell me that ______ (insert mod name here)" Some people are just trying to be the bleach in the gene pool...
Stopped back in the shop tonight on my way home from work and guess who was back in there. Yup. Good old paperclip. He had brought his friend as was getting a class on how to SAFELY use his mod. turns out his friend is the one that said to use a paperclip, but he meant it at a joke. Never thought the guy would be dumb enough to.

Militant assault on these mods are a bit out of place too, IMHO.
Regardless of mod being regulated or mechanical, this is an accident looking for a face.
I agree, especially with the "inexpensive" part.
I just picked up a couple more Carevelas a couple of weeks ago. Whether they were made by Pedro Carvalho and cost $300 or by HCigar and cost $5 on a clearance sale they're identical.

maybe you should stick to regulated mods. They seem to be more your speed. I like both.Look folks. All of that stuff is hilarious and I expected as much but; we need to get real here.
