If they used some other coating the acetone might not do it. Mechanical methods will get rid of it. Really fine san paper 1000-2000 grit and then polish or leave the finish dull and let it patina.

No matter how you get the coating off the copper will immediately start to patina. Air and acids from your hands will start to oxidize it and you will have to polish on a regular, weekly or daily depending on how .... you are, basis to keep it shiny.

You can clean it and immediately put a lacquer coating on to keep it shiny and when the coating scratches you can take it off with acetone, polish, and coat again.

If i were you i honestly wouldnt even try; theres a good chance you could just ruin the looks of your nemesis; removing the coating from the engravings could be a real pain. If its just a cheap clone it might be worth a try, but if its a genuine nemesis i personally wouldnt try.

Btw i think the copper nemesis has a cool "steakpunk" vibe, and looks pretty unique.

I'm looking for it to patina.

It's a clone. I do not believe there's an authentic copper Nemesis out. I might be wrong though.

Scotch brite pads

Thanks!
