wait a sec, you grow 'bacco too!?
i waited too long last year and they destroyed everything. i havent seen any this year, yet... the stubborn little buggers, they clamp down on the plant so well that they are near impossible to jut pull off without causing damage to their internal organs. and yes, leave out for the birds, or lizards, or the neighbors sadistic 4 year old (imaginary)

LOL No, just tomatoes. I guess that was kind of confusing. There are tomato worms and there are tobacco worms, they look almost the same, and they both will eat either tobacco or tomatoes. They are actually the larval stage of the hawkmoth. There's a slight difference in appearance, but that's not important, as they both are horribly destructive.

Sb Thanks for the entomology lesson... I was even more confused by thinking that since both plants produce nicotine it would be the same insect.. They actually are quite beautiful caterpillars and have masterful camouflage. Any nightmares about them would probably similar to those provoked by munching gophers and woodchucks..... at least in my case..

1- Neat, but small, I am done with small devices, hard enough to to keep batteries charged on the large devices..

2) While I've generally outgrown small vaping devices, I'm pretty impressed by the Innokin iTaste VV 3.0. As far as I know, it's the only small e-cig with variable-wattage performance. Other new additions include a resistance (ohms) meter and slightly higher battery life than its predecessor. Detailed text review here.

At work, waiting another 30 minutes for midnight to roll around for my new day. All of this talk about gardening and I am in an apartment :/ I did see a neighbor with a huge elephant ear plant and it made me think of Trinidad because they eat the Taro root very much like a potato and the elephant ear leaves are called dasheen, which makes the most delicious 'spinach' with sauteed onion and garlic =] If I could find a place for a huge planter of them, I'd grow them for food!

1. 6/26 - Did I miss a reference to tomacco or what? I "dig" the theme, so I'll stick with plants.

I may or may not have have a green thumb, but I do have a 45 year old potted tree philodendron.
I am probably wrong about it's specific classification, I'm not a botanist. There are hundreds of species and hybrids.
FYI, yes it's older than I am. I didn't buy a baby plant, I prefer proven performers. No innuendo intended.

I think you will do well once you are a civilian, Sky =] You have a list of others that have offered you a place, so it'll be an adventure =] Where will you and the family live, what you will end up doing for a living, many exciting changes for you and your family =] Just hang in there until you get a full medical work over and are taken care of fro those injuries!

45 year old potted tree philodendron! Pretty good, Schnarph! I have an ivy hanging on for... 9 years. I got it as a clipping from my Uncle =] I am not one to keep a plant alive, so my ex has been caring for it I am looking at a huge planter for some Colosasia esculenta [taro] to eat the leaves :/ I read about the acidity and the necessity to change the water out because it will burn the tongue, but I never saw that in Trinidad. I guess it needs to be done in the US versions, but it can't be any different from soaking outer vegetables or meat before cooking.
