3. 7/17 - The problem with using isopropyl alcohol to clean your atty's is that it's not food grade to begin with, regardless if it evaporates completely or not. It's hard to beat boiling water and PGA for cleaning items that hold matter that will be ingested. After working years in the food and beverage industry, nobody ever cleaned food prep equipment in rubbing alcohol.

Edit: I never witnessed anyone using anything as expensive as PGA to clean anything either. There was a diluted bleach solution or sterilizing tablets that were added to water, but I wouldn't use either for cleaning or soaking atty's. I'm going with what so many other vapers have been doing for years and 99.9% of the info here on ECF works and sounds reasonable.

Re-edit: I used a nebulizer as an asthmatic youth, and a CPAP machine as an adult suffering from obstructive sleep apnea. The equipment's tubing was to be soaked and rinsed in vinegar, being a safe way to "sterilize" it. After a few water rinses, this usually returned it to a tasteless state. Since I haven't read about this method of cleaning atty's anywhere on ECF yet, I haven't tried it yet. I'm going to stick with advice from the wiser folks around here: boiling water and PGA.

4. 7/17 - For those of you reading these posts in the morning, or when ever you attempt to catch up, I'm sorry my posts are so long-winded. It's usually "You guys sure talked a lot last night" or "It was awful quiet in here last night". I don't know where the line is exactly but I probably crossed it this time all by myself. Apologies. Just trying to help.

5. 7/17 - No prob, jpf. I have a box of phillip's head screws on it's way to me, I'm looking forward to getting rid of all the hex-head M2x0.4mm screws and eliminating the need for any tiny hex-head stuff. BTW, be careful not to over tighten those things, the hex-heads can strip pretty easily or so I've heard. Good luck, and happy vaping!

Does anybody in here use Ekowool? I ordered some after hearing about it here and I'm hoping it's as good as everybody says.

1) I'm a big, big fan of Ekowool. I like it much better than regular silica from a taste standpoint. After you torch it, it's really easy to work with. After it's torched and stiffened up, you can make convenient loops for dual-coil builds, like so:

Tish bump!

@Tish- Either your atty is funky or your mouth is. No offense. If a good all over mouth brushing and gargle doesn't fix it, it's probably the atty. It would be pretty weird if tried and true mixes didn't produce the same results. I have heard of some folks having an evolving taste preference, best hope that's not the case. My preferences have only expanded, previous favorites are still tasty.

I'm really going to be mad at myself in a few hours. I'm wired, yet no caffeine since lunch after very little sleep last night. 5:20am, ah jeeez.
