3) As someone that grew up in New York and has been in California since 2000, I can assure you that winters will not be missed. The best part is getting to the point where anything under 70F feels "cold" to you. Ha!

I totally agree with this. However, I grew up in FL, and now I live in northern AL. Granted, I'm sure it's not half as cold as NY, but last winter was my first here, and OMG it was terrible getting used to it. My family always laughed at me because I'd have the heater on full blast right next to me all day. I never wanted to leave the house lol.

The only remake that I can think of that is better than the original is "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" with Charles Laughton and that's because it had sound (and a young Maureen O'Hara)!
The only sequel that was better than the original was Godfather II, which was better by leaps and bounds!!!

Another thing that bothers me about movies is when they make 5 sequels. Yeah, I understand you made a lot of money off of the first four, but how about some ingenuity?

The worst thing about most movie and TV series remakes is how pathetically campy they make them... star sky and hutch...the longest yard...

Now Star Trek... the new ones absolutely ROCK!

3: Congrats LD!! For me I will pick the cold over hot anytime, after 30+ days of 110 degrees or higher you can't shed enough clothes to get comfortable. I can go outside in shorts when it is snowing no problem.

i like to have a mixture of hot and cold. so cold in the winter, hot in the summer is perfectly fine with me.
I like the snow a lot, but I do get sick of it by the end of winter. Same goes for heat by the end of summer.
