Anyone else have this issue? Im thinking its the build up of gunk on my coil. But im not completely sure. If it is, how do I avoid this in the future?

could be your getting a hotspot or just a really gunky wick and instead of vapor its burning the junk on the coil.

Theres no hotspots. I have a lot of buildup on my coil. So im guessing its prolly that. Just got the did a few days ago and besides that, I love it.

i know i get a few days of heavy vaping then i need to clean the coil at least.

No, leave everything where it is, suck out your juice and dry burn the coils until they're red a few times.

like cunningstunts stated, also along with dry firing you can use a tiny sort of brush and gently clean them

I use a damp Dentek Brush to clean the coil. I also pull the wick out, leaving the coil in place, and dry burn the coil and clean it a little more with the brush. I'll also rinse and let the wick soak in hot water for a while.

My favorite juice, Gourmet Vapors Keoke Coffee, will gunk up a coil pretty quick, so I do this after every tank.

i usually just empty the tank then do some dry fires until the coils start to glow and either blow it off or touch it with a toothpick or pin. to knock the junk loose.
good for another day or two............
