I have some joyetech 510 manual xl batteries/cartos and some green smoke automatic batteries/cartos from my first days of vaping. The OCD in me wanted to interchange the batteries and cartomizers, just for kicks. So started the long journey into finding suitable adapters. After spending $20-$30, here is what I have discovered:
1. The 510 battery to KR808D-2 cartomizer adapter works with the Green Smoke Red Label tobacco cartos, but not the Absolute Tobacco ones. Although both of these work on my Green Smoke battery. There are other flavor cartos (I only have the two types), but the website makes no differentiation between the types, other than flavor. You select your flavor from a drop down menu.
2. In order to use the aforementioned adapter, I absolutely had to use a 510 to 510 unsealed adapter with it. (You cannot draw any air without it.) I have two sealed 510 to 510s; one completely blocks off the airflow, while the other makes for an extremely tight draw. Both were sold to me as sealed (they do look a little different), but from different vendors (trying to blow through them confirms they are in fact, sealed). Maybe an automatic 510 battery would have worked? I don't have one to experiment with....
3. The KR808D-2 battery to 510 carto adapter doesn't fit at all on the Green Smoke battery. However, the 808D/901 adapter did fit onto the Green Smoke battery. However, the reverse configuration of the 808D/901 adapter did not fit the Green Smoke cartos (either kind). Green Smoke only seems to sell the type of battery I have (other than a passthrough) in varying colors. Maybe the batteries used to be different?
4. Why do both Green Smoke cartos work on the Green Smoke battery, but only one works on the adapter???
5. I drove myself crazy trying to get these to work. Even though I could have just used 510 batteries with 510 cartos and vice versa.
6. I have a lot of adapters I don't need.
