Blackberry Limoncello .... I had no idea it would smell THIS good. I mean, what the heck, this is not only spot on but the aroma is soo... enticing.

It didn't last long, I decided to drink it instead. :)

Malt smells great, just like I assumed it would smell. Gonna let it rest a few days. Macaroon smells just fantastic, creamy coconut and that smooth macaroon cookie aroma. Dang I'm making myself hungry.

Thanks HB, I'm addicted.

I forgot to tell you guys, I got the provari mini and love it, really love the weight and feel of it. very happy. battery life is shyte though, i'm only getting about 2 hours. And in the mini thread', most are getting 3 to 4 some say all day'. So who knows, probably the dual coils. found a guy who lives 45 minutes away and i drove there and picked up 20 XL 3ohm carty, so tomorrow i'm going to give the ole hammer and nail' a try. these werent punched.

And yes Bry'bro, this time i'm going to use a vice grip or pliers. heheheh

Just popped in to say hello to you all! Oh, and that I am in lust with bavarian hazelnut cream coffee and blackberry limoncello. Definitely ordering big bottles when I get paid next week. Also, has anyone given the tiramisu a shot? Thinking of trying the buttered rum as well even though I have never had the drink. Hoping and praying that I don't get these iron man bottles next time...had to break out the pliers lol!

meeems,

Glad to hear you are enjoying your new provari mini... but sorry to hear about the battery life. Some things to consider if you haven't thought about them or just don't know it yet ( from your post, it does look like you know some of this though )... Going from a 1.5ohm to a 3ohm atty/carto will double your battery life... of course the wattage drops to 1/2 which also changes the charactoristics of the vape... Also increasing your voltage ( using the same batteries ) from 3.7v up to 4.7v decreases your battery life to about 78% of what the 3.7v has ( @ 22% less in otherwords ). Hopefully you will find that sweet spot that vapes right for you and also gives you a bit better battery life.

I've been considering getting yet another a new PV myself just to have one with more of a "bling" factor and still balance form, function along with battery life. I almost always get a device for practical reasons and not just for looks... needing to use a PV in public is what is pushing be to consider otherwise this time. Luckily, my E-Power 14650 works great at 3.7v with the new switch I got for it.. it only looks odd with certain tanks and carto's... so I have some time to think about what I want to get. I'm sort of leaning towards the Icon or Prodigy's right now but what bothers me about them are they aren't regulated AND more importantly... I really haven't chosen whether I want to use an atty, carto or tank either... I'm leaning towards a tank but until I've tried them all... I won't know.

Randy, so you mean once i start using the 3 ohms in the tank, that if my settings: voltage is higher, say 4.7 this will increase the battery useage or decrease it? compared to say 3.7 volts?
I got most of what your saying, just unsure on that part.

Yeah, as it sits now, i would definitely be using the Lavatube if i'm going for a drive or not coming back for awhile. but the provar is stuck to my hand if i'm at home. I dont mind the lavatube, i just have to get some crazy glue and fix the top, it keeps trying to slide up and off.

thanks buddy!

Increasing the voltage will decrease the battery life using the same size battery... can't have something for nothing basically.

Voltage = Current ( amps ) x Resistance ( ohms )

Here is an online Ohm's law calculater you can use to input any two values and it figures the others for you... input volts and resistance since you know them and then you can see what the amps end up being and the resulting power ( watts ) ... Ohm's Law Calculator

In short... geeky terms... you increase the voltage so you will also see an increase in the power consumed ... hence your battery won't last as long depending on how much you increased the voltage.

The MAH portion of your battery specs... tells you how much fuel is in the tank ( it's capacity ) so to speak... A larger MAH battery will last longer. I think your batteries ( if they are the AW IMR 18350 ) are probably 700mah .... If you use the battery extention cap so you can use the 18490 batteries... they contain 1100mah so they would last about 57% longer but of course they are also about 14mm longer making your PV longer ( bigger )...

meeems...

I'd need to also know what the resistance of your original carto is ( compared to the newer 3 ohm ones )... to tell you if increasing voltage from say 3.7 to 4.7 and also increasing the resistance on your carto actually gives you more or less battery life...

Basically... and getting geeky again... You need to be able to see how many watts each setup is in order to guess at what the battery life ends up being...

RD,
I've been using the 2.5 ohms on the tank, and have found that 5.8 was good. today i punched a hole in a 3.ohm, oddly enough i still liked the 5.8 for voltage. is that too high? i mean it works and vapes the best at that number, but i've seen so many threads and posts on a lower voltage than mine. Wow the 3ohm regular sure packs a punch. i love em.

Meems, glad to hear you got your mini! 5.8 volts, man you like it a bit warm. hehe there's nothing wrong with that if that is your sweet spot but yeah that will drain your battery pretty quick. I go anywhere from 4.4-4.8 and my batts last me 1 1/2 days of course I have 2 PV's going at once for 2 different flavors so that makes a bit of a difference I'm sure.

I have the Tiramisu by the way, it is really rich. I had put it aside because my taste buds to this day (and this has been going on for well over a month now) cannot taste coffee. But from what I can taste it was good, I just can't taste the espresso in it. :(

meems,

None of what I've been mentioning has to do with if your voltage is set too high or not... it has only been addressing how long your batteries last during one charge.

How high you set it at will depend on the e-liquid you are using ( from what I've read... remember I've only just started a month ago )... Personally, I'd set it where I liked the flavor and vape the most and not worry about... If you like it the most at 5.8v and can put up with a shorter working time on a single charge... that is exactly what I'd do... If you need to lengthen the time the battery charge lasts... you can at least compromise the flavor/vape a little to extend it some and lower the voltage or use a higher resistance carto when it is appropriate to you.

Remember ... the following is approximate just using the numbers that have been mentioned so you can determine what YOU want to do... I'll do some times ( in percentages ) with the 2.5 and 3.0 ohm cartos... at 3.7v, 4.7v and 5.8v so you can compare the amount of vape time you have on one charge of a battery.

Starting with the 3.0ohm carto running at 3.7v... this is your longest time a charge will last and we will call it 100%... everything else will be less time on a single charge...

Symbol for Omhs of resistance is Ω

3.7v 3Ω = 100%
4.7v 3Ω = 24 % less time than at 3.7v 3Ω
5.8v 3Ω = 37 % less time than at 3.7v 3Ω

3.7v 2.5Ω = 17% less time than at 3.7v 3Ω
4.7v 2.5Ω = 35% less time than at 3.7v 3Ω
5.8v 2.5Ω = 47% less time than at 3.7v 3Ω

Again... I'll repeat myself and reword what I said earlier in this post... pick the voltage and amount of resistance ( ie Ω ) by what you like the most for the times where how long the battery lasts is not as important... When you need the battery to last longer... either use a lower voltage and/or a higher resistance carto...

Oh boy, i got all mee juices again from Bry'bro. 'chemistry set 101'
And this i put in a tank: i took a 6 ml empty bottle and put about 20 drops of blueberry and the rest cheesecake torte, and oh my gaaa, its awesome!, if you have both of these be careful not to put too much blueberry in, good thing i only put in 20 drops, i almost put half and half. the blueberry is very organic and strong, which is fantastic if you blend it properly, i recommend putting only ten drops in, but dam, is this ever freakin good!

Oh my gaaa, this goes soo well with my coffee.

Dammit, I knew I should've gotten blueberry! My taste buds are slowly starting to come back and I am ever so grateful! You don't realize how glorious taste & smell is until you can't anymore. Food was not enjoyable - just eating for sustainment is not fun :(

Poor Red'ster. Glad to hear your starting to smell and taste again. Did you have any flavorless juice, for these types of occasions? sure not worth using good ones. heh

I had to use menthol to be able to "feel" the vape. I haven't used menthol in forever, so it was kind of cool, but I missed my fruits & desserts! I am just barely starting to taste the HB Amaretto and I can tell it's gonna be awesome - I'm gonna have to get more of this!
