Hello everyone! My name is Wendy, I live in Minnesota. I have been vaping since May 2009. I have always still had a couple cigarettes a day, not relying totally on e-cigs, until I got the Riva 901 a couple weeks ago, and finally have been 12 days with no analogs I also just got a black/purple Reo Mini a couple days ago and LOVE it! Nice to meet you all!

Hi everyone! My name is Pat and like Wendy I am also from Minnesota. I am not new to vaping infact sometime this month it will be a YEAR since I have smoked.
I was not planning on quitting smoking, I just wanted to use the e-cig in places where I couldn't smoke. So in the beginning I was doing both. So that's why I don't know the exact day. I smoked for 40 years and everyone around me can't believe that I enjoy vaping more.......go figure!
I have lurked on these forums for along time and have learned so much.
When anyone asks me about vaping, I always tell them it's better than a cigarette in more ways than not. The flavors are so yummy. You can't taste the peach cobbler in a cig.
There has been one drag, the 15 lbs that I have gained. Hate that,hate that! But I will not go back to smoking...period!!!

Thank you all for the warm welcome I am 45 years old, have been smoking for 27 years. Uggghhh, all that damage all those years! I started smoking in college.

My first e-cig was a 401, then I tried 510, 901, and 801. Then the JantyStick, then the Ikenvape Lazermod (still like that one, but mine stopped working, and he doesn't make them anymore), then KR808-D's, then the Little Sister (loved the variable volt, but it constantly leaked juice allover). I also just got the Infinity variable volt, but the first one didn't work at all, I sent it back to be fixed, and they sent me a totally different one than I ordered, plus it felt huge to me, and I had read problems about it, so I sent it back.

Even with almost 2 years of vaping behind me, and trying all these different e-cigs, I still couldn't kick having a few cigarettes a day, and felt really guilty about it, because I have invested alot of money into this. Finally, I decided to try the Ego knock-off, a pretty Pink Riva 901 kit from Liberty Flights for $29.99. I figure I've spent so much money on this habit/hobby, what's another couple of bucks? Well, the Riva finally did it for me. I don't know what it is about it, but it has finally given me so much more satisfaction that most of the other things I have tried. And I haven't wanted to light up a cigarette since I got it! Oh, and also I *had* to get the Reo Mini.... I finally gave into temptation because so many people were raving about it. I love it! It is absolutely wonderful for long car trips....no more dripping and driving!

I will also say, that since I started vaping in May of 2009, WOW, things have come soooo far and are sooo much better! Just the other day, I finally started cleaning out old stuff that I had bought when I started this. I threw out LOTS of icky juices that I could only get from China when I first started vaping. Most of it tasted and smelled like medicine (maybe that's also why I couldn't totally quit the cigarettes). There are so many good USA vendors now, and they make some really GOOD tasting juice! So I am having fun trying out some USA vendors that I haven't before had the pleasure of ordering from. But this time, I am buying smaller quantities at a time so I don't end up with the big mess that I just threw out, and I don't have to pay $15-$20 for shipping, love that!

For anyone new just starting e-cigs, now is a GREAT time to start! There are so many more choices now, and much higher quality of juices and equipment than a few years ago!

I must have been lucky finding V4L as my second vender. My 1st was ok but there was so many out there I new there had to be better. So happy you found what you need, it makes all the difference.

Hi Patsy! Nice to see another woman from Minnesota! Do you ever go to any of the MN Vape Meets? I just found out about them myself. My problem is I don't want to go alone, and there seems to be only men going to them, lol. As a single woman, I'm a bit intimidated to go by myself, but I think it would be very informative and lots of fun.

Hello Ladies, I'm Renee, single mom of one beautiful little girl here in Florida. I've been smoking for 23 *gasp* years. It hurt when I realized I'd been smoking longer than I didn't...I'm 39.
I love my smokes but hate the smell, the cough..etc. I come from a family of smokers and currently take care of my mom who has copd, emphysema, nuebulizers and puffers - you'd think that would be enough for me to walk away but...
anyway I bought a green smoke from a local smoke shop a back in nov - I liked it but one battery died and the darn thing only worked 1 out of 5 puffs. So I found my way to youtube and then here, got myself some education and ordered an ego. Unfortunately I ordered 24mg tobacco flavor thinking I needed it to get of the ananlogs...gag! My mouth tingles and they taste like chemicals. I got LF Ry4, chocolate and cappachino-yuk. I also got a usa with my ego from rt66. I did order some lower mg from gourmetvapor and kbv -and want to get some vg from wal-mart...I think i ordered 80pg of course thats what I saw b4 I ordered, now not so sure I've seen more vg fans.
I feel like I'm being whiny...sorry. Did I mention I'm totally new to forums also so please excuse me - I'm sitting here pretty bummed because I had myself convinced I was just going to love my pv and all would be fine, now here I sit - but I'm not going to quit..give up on vaping that is..
I'm happy classwife told me about this group - I'm a little nervous around the men. Plus I love chatting about girly stuff!

ATChung...Welcome to ECF and The Women's Room! Sounds like you have been hitting all the marks, bu don't worry, most of us do. I started with a mall type look alike, needless to say I ordered a 901 a day later! I quit smoking with that and tried several flavors from lot's of vendors. I tried box mods, pipe mods and mod mods..lol. I finally got talked into V4L's Vaor King batteries and cartomizers and found my bliss. You just have to find yours.
Have fun, post anywhere and keep trying.
