Well...I gotta come clean. A friend (more like an old drinking buddy, who I avoid since I quit 7 months ago) stopped by right after I got my 510. I had it only a few days and I saw the reported problems posted on here. I saw a guy on ebay had a 510 for $49.99 and I was gonna get it. My buddy wanted it so he paid me, I got it on buy it now for him and turned it over to him when it came in. Anyways, I was leery of it when the order came in because the batteries were different. One of the batteries was smaller and had a cigarette paper look to it, but it worked on the atomizer that was included. My buddy is still using it (the .......) but only occasionally. I even ordered him some juice from Vapor Guys (VG had a BOGO on the 30ml, so I got a free 30ml).
What I was getting to is I sent the guy I bought from on ebay an email asking if he had more. A week later he wrote back saying yes, he has more, can't sell them on ebay anymore, let him know what I need. Like I stated though, I am kind of leery cause he sent 2 different batteries. This guy is out of Alabama, so it is not the same guy as on the provided link.
Sorry you had to read all this just to hear my story.
Does anyone know if these 510s are compatible with the 901KLRs?
Some say they're 510s, some say they're not.
Still searching for an answer to what model they are, if they're not 510s.
No they are not. I purchased 2 kits because they said that it may be a 510, but it did not work with my existing 510 batts or atomizer and the performance was not close to a 510.
They are actually more like a 901 imo. I was trying to figure out what they were as well, but there is nothing in the manual or anywhere else that indicates a manufacture.
I've gone to a newer supplier: global green, and have been very pleased with produce, service, availability, shipping, costs, and everything really. It's web-based so I think overhead is lower making them reasonable for the high quality product they sell.
Pretty impressed so far and the atomizer produces great volume making it easier for me to inhale, and the battery life is far better than legacy products.
At least that's been my experience. And I do compare, btw, with my brother-in-law who got me started in E-cigs a coupla months back.
BTW, global green is available at the website buyelectroniccigaretteonline.
Now, let me say first off I don't want to bash any company, but I have really had bad luck with Janty products. I really want to like them.
The following is a letter I typed up to Janty that kind of explains the situation:
"Hello,
I recieved my Dura-C Kit one week ago, and now both batteries, and both atomizers, in any combination, have failed. They produce vapor still, but it is harsh electric tasting vapor.
I would like to return my Dura-C kit. I have been having bad luck with Janty, the customer service has been fairly good (although I am still waiting on a Mini Fogger kit (Order 19XX) I ordered over a month ago, and an extra mini fogger battery I mailed to Janty over a month ago after one failed).
I honestly really want to like Janty, the customer service has been pretty good. The products look great, the packaging is nice, but the products just seem to fail way too soon. I understand this is a relatively new industry, but my Dura-C doesnt work after 1 week of very light use, and after following all of the battery charging instructions to a "T".
I would like to send my kit back and recieve a refund if possible. If not, I will take a replacement kit, but I would really just prefer a refund. I might give Janty another shot in another 6 months or so, but for now I am going to have to put things on hold until the kinks are worked out.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed, and please let me know of a proper mailing address. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jason XXXXXX"

So I guess thats it. I just have bad luck or something.
The Dura-C gave me incredible throat hits, and I was a big fan of it, for the week I had it. Although during that week, I barely even used it (I am still on analogs, and was planning to switch over to the Dura exclusively in the near future).
So, I guess this is the million dollar question...
Who do I try out next?
I am kind of afraid of generic e-cigs, call me a prude or whatever, but I liked that Janty at least has the appearance of being a high quality product.
Can anyone reccomend a product (preferably a Mini, or close to that size) that is actually dependable, gives good throat hits, and doesn't leak like crazy?
I know e-cigs seem to be a bit of a gamble, but gosh, a week or working product? Thats terrible. Especially considering I spent about $100 bucks between the dura and accessories. Not to mention a couple hundred more on other Janty products. Grr.
Thats my rant. Thoughts, comments, suggestions?
Sorry off the subject but I cannot post yet was wondering if anyone knew about the E-cigs that come in a cigarette like box that charges the battery. On the cigarette case is a lcd light when I screw the battery into the e-cig pack it stays red should it be like this all day with the light on?Or perhaps I only screw it in when it needs charged?I know the E pack acts as a charger to the battery but seems strange the light stays on on the epack.
