And thanks to my PV I have only had one analog in the last two weeks. I realized what I was missing from analogs -- menthol -- so I have an atomizer and cart ready with a mixture of MFS's menthol and Dunhill for when I have a craving for an analog.

While I stayed quit from analogs longer than I have so far when I did Chantix, every day was a bleeding nightmare.... and this has been so easy! I actually enjoy my nicotine, instead of choking and coughing through it. My coworkers say I'm easy to get along with, instead of being ready to kill me or being afraid of death themselves. And my nonsmoking colleagues have been very supportive of me -- especially the guy who sits next to me, because he no longer has to smell the tobacco stench from me!

I've also been "stealth vaping" a bit at work -- not at the desk, but in a "quiet room" instead of going outside when it's been so cold. My boss came in early one morning and asked to speak with me in the same quiet room I'd vaped in less than an hour ago. She didn't smell a thing! And I didn't enlighten her to the use I'd been having for it.... (The conference was to let me know I wasn't one of the team leads chosen this go-around but was very likely to be chosen on the next).

I'm 30 today... and after eight years of smoking nasty analogs, I'm looking forward to the days and months and years and decades of being able to BREATHE!

Congratulations...but just a heads up, some flavors leave a very noticeable smell in the air. Two that come to mind from personal experience are coffee and french toast, and I have read that menthol can hang around. I would hate for you to get into trouble if you aren't allowed to be doing it where you are. A safer place may be the restroom, especially if someone sees you coming and going from the room you use now. Maybe if you explain what you are doing you wouldn't even have to worry about it, but you know your situation better than any of us do. I hope it all goes well for you.
Wow, I totally missed seeing your B-day...Happy 30th!

Odd, the one I was using was cappuccino/caramel... I am pretty sure menthol would hang around, and when I came back home after running to the grocery store, I could smell blueberry after I'd been vaping blueberry cheesecake. Then again, when I'm at work I have a cup of coffee in my hand at all times -- so perhaps the real coffee overpowered the vape coffee smell?

Right now I'm vaping honey, and it took me a minute to realize why the taste/smell was so familiar... years ago, like 14 years ago, an older friend of mine had gotten a "kama sutra" kit. Included in it was a honey-flavored dusting powder (supposed to dust it over your partner's body then... heh). It seems like a lot of the flavors I've had that I would expect to be sweet have not been -- I guess that makes sense if they're for candymaking, since the sugar in the recipe would be all the sweet that was needed. This is one of them -- yes, it's honey-ish, but not the sweet that I would have expected from honey. Neither was the dusting powder. It's still good!

It's really odd how taste/smell trigger memory. I hadn't thought about that particular friend in years, and hadn't thought about that kama sutra kit in more than a decade.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! :w00t:

Happy Birthday!! And - congrats!

It turned out that menthol was what I was craving too. I haven't had anyone say they can detect anything after vaping menthol. I've actually blown it into someone's face and asked them what they smell, and had them shrug and say - "maybe like you had a mint?" lol

omg - I have that honey powder! A friend had given it to me on my birthday a few years ago! Now I want to vape honey because I liked the taste of that powder :D

It's great to quit smoking and be pleasant and... human! :thumb:
