So how’s your day going? You don’t really need ceramic tweezers anyway, right?

Awwwwww... so sad. Not needed unless you are clumsy, lazy, daft at coil primping and near blind like me!

I have this crazy old dripper I love with offset parallel coils and wonky air placement and can't ever get the coils in it in the right place without mangling the rat snot out of them so need my ceramic tweezers! I feel your pain.

I have ceramic tweezers but rarely use them. I use a precision tweezer set of 6 different types (all metal) that I picked up from harbor freight for a couple bucks. As long as your not firing the mod while making contact with the coil with the all metal tweezers, it does not hurt anything.

But those are teflon :) As mentioned, replacements available, as are other options. I've been using the Twizer's ancestors, also never had to break one.

You brute. ;)

without mangling the rat snot out of them

Best to mangle that out before wicking, ime.

What about superglue? I thought that fixed everything

Not sure I'd want to vape burned cyanyo acrylate....

OH! You meant on the tweezer tips!  Worth a try, although some brand super glues don't work on some teflon like material. But yep, can't hurt to try.

Leave the rat snot in. That's the best part. It's where the flavor's at:)

I had a ceramic honing rod for my knives for a week. It rolled off the counter and shattered on the tile floor.
I have ceramic triangular rods from (I believe) Spyderco. Never broke one, but they don't wear away and get loaded up with steel particles. Maybe okay for the final edge, but not worth the cost for the whole sharpening process.

Use Barkeepers Friend to clean them. It works wonders and super cheap.:thumb:
