Well, I've only had my ProVari for a week, and I've got to send it in to be repaired. I cleaned the battery contact this morning with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol, and now it doesn't fire anymore. It gets power, it will go into the menus, but I keep getting the E8 error when I try to fire it. Swapped batteries, swapped caps, allowed plenty of time for any alcohol to evaporate. Still nothing. Guess I'll have to fall back on my spinner for a week or so.

I'm sure you already tried it but did you try different addys?
Will it still give you a voltage reading without any addy ?

Wish i got a loaner car! seriously, i would check what you are putting on it. i have 3 that have never needed service of any kind. sounds like a bad atty, carto, clearo, etc.

Yes, I tried different devices on it. They all work fine on my spinner, but nothing on the ProVari. I can still access the menus, and they all appear to work ok. It just won't fire.
