A few days (weeks?) ago I posted about being so done with vaping and all that went with it (mostly cost and inconvenience). Unfortunately, my brain still does not agree. "What do you mean no hand to mouth activity??????" it has screamed. And the lack of juice? I noticed I was eating more. A lot more. To get that satisfaction of taste, I suppose. i don't know. It just felt like an epic fail.

But no guilt trips on myself. I'm practicing patience in A LOT of areas in my life right now.

ANYWAY...in my local vape shop, the staff totally had compassion on me. They set me up with a cartomizer, of all things. And a nice sleeve and drip tip and a new Spinner II....for FREE. Because they want to perpetuate my addiction/hobby? No. I don't think so. I think they truly wanted to make sure that I didn't head back to cigarettes out of frustration. And they recommended lowering my nicotine again...but not now. Not yet. So they patiently sampled out flavors and helped me switch from super sweet dessert flavors to fruit flavors (which I am not as hooked on). Who says Trix are for kids? (Shameless plug for Northern Lights juice that tastes just like old school cereal). What did I get out of it? Lots of flavor, and cartos last longer than coils and cost way less. Why haven't they hooked me up with cartos sooner? Well, as they put it, it's old school, old technology, but not necessarily a bad technology.

I know you were all hyped and proud of me for moving on and I do want to do that someday. But right now, I'd rather vape than even consider cigarettes - even one drag off one a co-worker is smoking when we are all on break at the same time. And so I am still a vaper. Just a different kind of vaper. And I'm okay with that. I'm okay with cartos and not dumping money in mods and the latest vape tech. I'm okay with a pen vape that slides nicely down the side of my Doc Martens while I'm at work and doesn't leak or flood or require so much attention or money. I'm okay with basic, out-dated technology in the vape world...just don't try to talk me out of the new iPhone 6 Plus.

I have the exact opposite experience re: carto life vs. coil life, but I'm glad you found something that works for you! Good luck!

Oh, if you want yummy fruit flavors, check out Roar Vapors. I suggest ANY of their "Serums". Absolutely delicious, especially with their menthol additive. It doesn't taste like menthol. It tastes like refrigerated fruits.

As someone who has (for years now) vaped with nothing more fancy than a simple 510 atomizer and a 650mah Ego Twist... I say, good for you!

I am a dripper. This is what I am. I like the ritual of dripping and don't find it to be a hassle at all.
But then I only go through about one milliliter of juice per day, so take that with a grain of sale and all that.

If I vaped much more than that, dripping MIGHT become a hassle.
And then I might very well be looking into cartomizers.

But filling things up just seems to be a hassle to me.
And that would include cartomizers.
:)

My point, I guess, is as others have already said...
Whatever works for you is what works for you.

As someone who is perfectly new to vaping -- everything you said in your farewell post I can relate too. Vaping is work; vaping is expensive; vaping goes well beyond "medicinal" at some point and becomes a hobby same as any other, leaving you to support it and finance it and, hopefully, enjoy it. But ultimately, it comes down to you.

At the Cigtech store by my house there is an entire showcase of Smoktech stuff -- soup to nuts -- a nice array of mods, probably around 10-15 of them. Mechanical, VV/VW ... you name it. All of it came from one guys collection. He was changing his perfection only to find he liked the battery mods most of all. So now his collection is there on consignment. My point is: You don't know what you don't know. Sometimes you have to grow forward, sometimes you have to scale back, sometimes you have to step away.

I wish you all the luck in the world!

Oh noes Craven! I hope not!

I am still on the fence of what works for me. Dripper mods are much larger than I would prefer but my local promised to build a coil for me that I will never regret switching to so I am looking forward to that on Tuesday! Carto's are good, but don't last as long as I thought before they start getting the ugly burnt filter and burnt taste. I'm back to my Spinner II (I prefer a very tight draw as opposed to airy).

Tuesday I will have off so I am going to spend some time with the owner at my local...he has been around FOREVER and knows every possible tank/atomizer/mod/battery/juice possible. I have a K100 that I drip with (sold the Vanilla mod) but it's ugly and bulky and I really prefer a side button to a bottom button so I suspect I will walk out with a new mod, but I just really want something that doesn't require my complete attention while on my breaks at work - at home is another story.

Guys and gals, I am currently using an igo-W....is there a better RBA or is it just a matter of different manufacturers?

Welcome back Rabbit Chaser :)

You know, I almost stopped vaping about a year ago. I didn't have much motivation to do it though and then I got a Reo and that put an end to that, LOL.

We just had a thread about cartos the other day; are there any carto tank loyalists left? Once they are setup properly they have no maintenance and until they get gunked up they perform very well. I put them between clearos and rebuildables in performance. The downside with cartos is if you vape gunky juices they will not last long and there is nothing you can do once they gunk up but put in a new one.

Glad you came back to us. I am a somewhat cranky grandma (not really, I have patience, just not with complicated vaping stuff.). I've been vaping since January, not a single cigarette since then after smoking heavily for over 40 years.

I don't want to rebuild anything, burn anything, sub ohm anything. I just want to vape as inexpensively and easily as I can and not smoke. I have 3 MVP's in rotation, several Smok Tech Pyrex Aro tanks, some fruit flavor juices from MBV and I am super happy. No fuss, no hassle, just fill and vape!
