  • Your item was forwarded to a different address at 8:22 am on August 5, 2016 in (a town about 30 miles away from me). This was because of forwarding instructions or because the address or ZIP Code on the label was incorrect.
It was 4 RDAs. Maybe the person that received them won't know what they are and will put them back in the mailbox. No huge financial loss, but I wanted them! I'm calling the Post Office first thing Monday morning, though.

I rechecked my order, and my zip was correct. I also didn't put any forwarding instructions on there. Any clues how this happened?

That's "Post Office Legaleeeeze" for "We screwed up and put your package on the wrong truck. So sorry."

I don't know what the deal is with USPS lately. My packages will literally arrive to my state, and then go to another state beside me on the other side, before coming back to me lol.

It's crazy, but it always comes back. Really weird they forward your package to another address because the zip is incorrect.

Usually it would go back to the hub, and the shipper would be notified. USPS might make you call the shipper to change the address, but hopefully everything will get straightened out. You might be able to have USPS take the package back to the hub for you to pick up. I have done that with UPS a couple times. Good luck man!

God Bless!

I had this happen last month with some wire. It was from UPS expiated shipping, which then takes it to the USPS, and of course, someone misread one number in the zip code and was sent to another city. This has happened before, and the USPS re-routed it back to my local PO.

Just took a day longer than expected.

Methinks that's code for "your mail carrier is a vaper"

I wish that were the case; I know him, and I would gladly give him the package if he needed it. He never smoked or vaped, though, but he knows I quit smoking via vaping.

Just thinking, the town it went to is very small, and I'm not sure if they even have 4-digit house numbers, so this smells a little odd to me. But it said it was delivered, so what do I know???

Your mailman sounds like a good guy. Maybe talk it over with him?

I might mention it to him if I can catch him on delivery. Since it didn't even cross my town's path at all, I don't know if he will know anything except to tell me how to proceed. The first thing I'll do Monday is call the Post Office and tell them what's happening. Then I'll contact the vendor and tell them what's happening. Then I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Well, I did have a package travel all around Texas and then to Oklahoma City once, and I finally got it after about 3 weeks. But it never said "delivered" to another address while it was traveling the countryside. That's the part that bothers me. GRRRRR!!!!
I had a package go to Africa. Thinking I'd never get it, the place I ordered from (don't remember vendor) resent the entire order to me again. Package showed up a few months later. Vendor said keep it.
