Yesterday was the first day that I used my PV more than once. I got my new juice in the is PG/VG mix and mostly VG. Its a LOT better on my throat than straight PG was.

Yesterday I only smoked three analogs and I didnt even finish them. I had one this morning and it didnt taste all that good either. Im gonna stick with this and hope it gets me off the analogs. I need to quit because im goin to be a daddy! (Just got confirmation this morning :D)

Wish me luck all you vapers out there!

OH and if anyone wants to do some trading of some PG juice for some eGo parts like attys or carts just PM me and we can work something out!

Congratulations Time!! There's no greater motivation/inspiration than that!

No need to "hope" it gets you off analogs, because it WILL...just stay with it and give yourself time... The more you vape, the easier and easier it gets, and quitting just happens naturally.

Oh, congratulations of becoming parents!!! That is so wonderful to hear. And what better reason to quit than a baby on the way? You want to be around for a looooooonnnnnnngggggg time!!!!! And you wouldn't want to smoke around that precious little baby!

Don't worry, it will work like you won't believe. I had a few days in the beginning where I would have two cigarettes a day, and after two weeks of vaping and smoking, I no longer wanted to smoke cigarettes. I still keep them in the car, and they must be stale as can be. I don't know why, but can't throw them out. But don't want them either. You are going to love this, and it's a great hobby too. Whatever you buy and find you don't like, don't worry about the money, you can sell it right here in the classifieds and try something else or do trades. You won't be out a bunch of money. You'll want to buy everything in sight-but you'll love this new adventure. Good luck and best wishes to you and your wife. That is wonderful news!!!!

Thanks for all the congrats everyone, we are excited about it!

Im hoping that I can deal with this PV thing. Its actually starting to get annoying to me. Refilling carts, cleaning carts/attys, gettin juice in my mouth constantly, etc. Its gettin old REAL QUICK. I need to quit analogs BADLY and I thought this would help by reading all the stories about people quitting within the first day or so.

I just cant see a smoker goin from something so easy as pullin a cig out and lighting it to goin to a PV and having to deal with all the juices, parts, cleaning, buying, tasting, etc just to get a nic fix. Its much easier to pull a smoke out and thats what im goin thru right now. This eGo and everything thats come along with it has just been a PITA for me. I know I wont get this as easy as an analog but I need it to be close if its gonna help me quit. Ive found what mix of PG/VG works for me but all this stuff with carts and what not is such a hassle. Carryin around all the stuff to make this PV stuff work is also a lil annoying. It just seems like everyone here is having a easy time with switching to a PV (from what ive read) and im not.

Please tell me this gets easier?!? Should I buy cartos and use those?

If I cant get this to be easier im just gonna cut my losses and try a different way of quittin, HOPEFULLY it works......:(

Congratulations on the news of your firstborn, TiMe_1.:toast:

I totally agree w/U about the e-cigs being a PITA -- man are they ever! But don't 4get, this is new technology. When you think about competition and money, things will only get better. Probably 3/4 of the ECF are trying to figure out how to make an atty or atty substitute.

Yep, go to the cheapest e-cig parts place, rrvaporz.com, and get yourself some cartomizers to try out. I don't like the juice in my mouth, so I take off the cap and drip only 15-18 drops in the cap, put the caps back on and let it sit for a few minutes. Made e-cig life a whole lot easier for me. At least you have the ego so you don't have to fuss with plugging and unplugging batts all day long.

Ok Time, you want easy? go to good prophets, com and get a little 510 to kr808 adaptor for your Ego.
The go to any of the venders that sells kr808 cartomizers already filled.
There are several, vapor nine does, value4life and others.
Screw the cartomizer on to the ego with adaptor and vape, when it is dry or the vape lessons pitch it and screw another one on,
They come in tons of flavors too.
That is a easy as it gets.

Congrats on the little one coming! Don't give up cause it does get easier with time and experience. Don't forget that you're doing it for yourself and your child - who will need you for a long, long time! Rely on all the good people here for support and advice, and you will get through it. And have patience with yourself!

...I only smoked 4 analogs yesterday which is GREAT since I almost smoke a pack a day sometimes!....

Right on Time! Don't sweat the 4 that you smoked, but pat yourself on the back for the 16 that you didn't. Great attitude!

Most of the time I carry around my eGo w/ drip tip and a little 6ml bottle of the juice I'm vaping in my pocket. Heck, that takes up less that 1/2 the space of a pack of analogs. So you see, it's not a hassle at all.

Just stay the course and it will happen, like it has for most of us here. Always keep in the forefront of your mind the joy of hugging and kissing your baby without smelling like an ashtray. That, my friend, is the ultimate motivation!

No one ever said quitting would be easy, right?

For the least amount of maintenance for vaping, try either of these 2 methods.

1. Dripping.
All you do is remove the filler (cotton like material) from a cartridge.
Drip 2 or 3 drops directly on the atomizer bridge
Put the cartridge (without filler material) back on
Vape away.
That's good for about a cigarette's worth of puffs.
All you carry around is your PV, a bottle of juice and maybe a spare battery (if you're on an Ego, those batteries last a LONG time)

2. Cartomizers
It's a Atomizer and Cartridge in 1 piece. Very low maintenance.
Fill it up, screw it on, vape
They are very easy to fill, search google for the condom cartomizer refill method.
Take maybe 15 minutes out of your day (either in the morning, or the night before bed)
and fill up say 4 or 5 of them.
Those should hold you for the whole day.
Your Milage May Vary. You may need more (or less) than 4 or 5 a day.
Or as someone else mentioned, get them prefilled and just toss them when done.
That will be less cost effective, but if your primary concern is convenience, a little more cost may be worthwhile to you.

And congratulations so far. Keep it up, it is worth a little effort to be smoke free.

Hope that helps.

Congrats, both on starting a family and starting to vape!

It does get easier over time - there is a little more of a learning curve to PVs than cigs. I would suggest trying cartos though - they are very low maintenance. I just got a 510, thanks to i-esmoker's pet photo contest, and it was much harder to figure out than my KR808! But I like both- the KR808 (2 piece w/ cartos) is nice during the day - I'm a stay at home mom of 3 kiddos, so I like the convenience of not having to deal with bottles and dripping with the kids around...and the 510 is nice for in the evening when I can fiddle more and experiment with flavors and dripping.

You'll want to keep all juice safely locked away, or up really really high - it's extremely toxic, and nicotine is absorbed thru the skin - so if the little one would get ahold of it, it could be lethal. Make sure you wash your hands often as well, as any on your fingers could be transferred to the babe.

Very well said Neeky... especially the advice on washing hands before touching baby! Adults can tolerate the nic levels in juices, but babies are so much more sensitive to nic poisoning. Gotta lock 'em up or keep 'em out of reach of inquisitive fingers!
