Could a case be made by some government agency that the claims such as 1 cart=2 packs of cigs and the like, constitutes consumer fraud? Personally I see it as highly misrepresentative, if it were true I'm a 20 PAD smoker then. At this point I think ANY claims other than "they're a tobacco alternative" hurt our cause. Any companies who even add stuff like vitamins to their juice really need to stop. I understand people want business but they've got to put aside any selfishness for the greater good.

RE: Vitamins. I enjoy getting a daily dose of the right vitamins, just not sure if vaping in vitamins is the way to go. Any supporting medical tests that can establish if it is safe to inhale vitamins? If is it clinically sound and not harmful in any way then I don't see a problem. Still the results would have to be substantial for me to accept them.

Do I think we need vitamins in e-juice? Not really, thats what multi-vitamin tablets are for right? Why do we need to inhale vitamins, our lungs are primarily for respiration. Other organs are surely much better suited for vitamin intake.

False advertisement. Its everywhere and e-cigs are certainly no exception. I really did believe that a cartridge was equivalent to 1 pack of smokes. Boy did I learn quick, more like 2-3 cigarettes. Cartomizers they claim last 1 week, well maybe, but after just 2-3 days they start clogging up (old types). Batteries good for 300 chargers, Joye 510 batteries claim they should last you 6 months - yeah right, more like 100 chargers from a bigger battery and 2 weeks or so on a Joye 510 heavy vaping before that battery needs replacement.

This is why we have ECF to give us the real info, and youtube reviews, thank you to all who are honest and don't just spit out any crap with your affiliate code sitting in the desc. Yeah Greensmokers!

I believe that these claims are not really lying so much as misleading.
And I mean very, very misleading.

I think what they might be doing is saying that a cartridge has as many milligrams (mg) of nicotine as a pack of cigarettes. So therefore if you ignore the possible fact that we absorb far less nicotine from using electronic cigarettes as compared to cigarettes, you can potentially say that a cartridge could equal a pack of cigarettes. Of course, that is only if you consider that you would have to be taking only like two drags off your electronic cigarette and pretending that you have just smoked a cigarette.

So yeah, if you only take around two drags every time you would normally have a cigarette, it may last as long as a pack. And if you absorbed about the same amount of nicotine from an electronic cigarette as you do from a real cigarette... well, then there you go!!

So, looks like the world of suppliers with the "as long as someone will buy it" attitudes are venturing into medicine and vitamins to throw in e cigs. Sad part is, the only business that stays in business, is one with customers. And so long as their are customers that buy just about anything thats offered with little to no regard to common sense, we'll always have a clown or 12 selling items that are obviously erroneous. As far as the FDA is concerned in all this, I don't care. They approved all the additives in tobacco.

Sometimes it's not necessarily the supplier's fault. The manufacturers often over exaggerate their claims & uneducated suppliers who don't test their own products don't have any clue.

But one cart = 2 packs of cigs is just a blatant lie. In my estimation, it's no more than 12 cigs...8 if you vape hard like me...and even then you're pushing it as the flavor starts to go and the vapor isn't impressive. I keep my carts good & wet!

My thinking is we really want to keep the government out of our business, so the only way to rein this in is to start like a "Consumer Reports" thread in the reviews section that outs sellers who are fraudsters. A lot of companies are in this for a quick buck, so they may not even know they're lying...

The only way to hit back is not putting cash into their wallets...

They approved all the additives in tobacco.
As far as I know the FDA has not approved anything having to do with tobacco.

A common misconception is that the FDA has approved of cigarettes.
But the probable reality is that the FDA wants to regulate cigarettes as drug delivery devices.

Just like they are trying to do with electronic cigarettes.

The fact is, an Act of Congress is what prevents the FDA from doing whatever they want with cigarettes.
It was passed in order to prevent the FDA from banning cigarettes.

Cigarettes are an exception, passed specifically by Congress, to stop the FDA from doing what it wants to do.

The whole vitamin ejuice thing is snake oil if you ask me. All of us ex smokers would love to reverse the damage we've done by smoking, but the truth is that time is the only thing that will make any difference. Vitamin ejuice just caters to that neurotic part of our brain that wants to fix things right now. Just my $.02

Goood point. I think that the vendors really need to rethink what they say on their websites. I'm glad they sent the letters to the company who was promoting stuff like weight loss juice. Slimey business practices need to go. We can police our own by not shopping at places that are doing things to hurt the cause just to make a buck or goo.
