So cal
I have been running the eon analog like e-cigs for the past few months and they work great, just lack the power and batt life. My friend just hooked me up with the I taste MVP to "try" out and I am beginning to get very frustrated. My friend barley used it as a "backup".

I have used his provari and its great, I just want to avoid the arguement with the Mrs. Over why I "need" to spend that much on a battery. But that's another arguement lol.

He set me up with a cartomizer punched and tank. I metered it out at 2.2 ohms, and a drip atty that meters at 1.2 ohms. I have played around with the voltage and I am getting frustrated. I find that the atty tastes the best at 3.3 (lowest) voltage and 3.6 volts. I have tried the tank at around 4.2 volts and the taste isn't very good. With the atty the taste is close, but it still doesn't taste as good as the same eliquid in my eon smoke cheapo.

Finally, the atty is semi working with some different juices, but when I drip, 1 drop I can take 2 hits, then the 3rd tastes burnt. If I redrip a couple times it starts to leach out the bottom air holes. It seems like if I drip, takes my two hits, then point the unit down for a couple seconds turn upright, take another hit and its not burnt. It seems like the juice leaks past the coil then if I flip it let it seep up it will refill the coil spot. Is that how your suppose to do it, or am I way off?

i am assuming that a better mod will increase the flavor and by far the nic hit out my eon smoke filled with the same juice. What am I missing

Some dripping atties work well, others don't. I use standard joye atomizers for dripping (with the center post and mesh). The mesh holds the juice. 3 drops, vape 10 hits, 3 drops, vape 10, etc.

As to the I-taste or any other PV for that matter. Voltage is part of the equation and so are the atty/carto/tank ohms. But the amps the device puts out is another factor. Should be OK, but IDK much about that device.

Anyway....Watts (total power) = Voltage squared divided by the ohms. So .....P = V2

1.2 ohms is a bit low. However, 3.3 volts at 1.2 ohms is 9.075 watts. Maybe a bit hot even. That ohm rating is real low.

Basically, try different atomizers within standard ohms or maybe around 2.0 ohms. Dripping is a learning curve and also preference on the atomizers.

Also, with cartos and carto tanks...there's a lot of variety so try different options. I use a Vivi Nova so I can't tell you about those fluff fill cartos or whatever. Maybe someone else will chime in. Do make sure you are getting juice with the PG/VG ratio that is thin enough to wick into the carto.

They have drip shields that catch juice out the bottom and misses. But I don't use em....I just use atties that don't leak so easily.

Dripping always tastes the best, IMO. Carto's have a taste to em. Maybe try a tank with a CE3 or some such that isn't filler based.

Since I supplied the equip I'll give the specs. The cartos are Boge SR and the atty is a Stingray LR. I didn't supply a drip shield as I don't have one since I only got the attys for taste testing new flavors. I usually use my vivi Novak or AGA T+.

I hope the extra info helps to get this figured out as I'm a new vaper as well.

So far he's describing rather subjective stuff...flavor is off, wants more nic, etc. But both devices are working on the PV.

You have to try different stuff. Including PG/VG ratio to make sure it wicks well (although dry hits don't seem to be an issue with the carto if I read it correctly). Nic is partly a function of watts, and partly the juice nic mg.

The taste with a dripping atty should be as clean as it gets....unless it's burnt. Then clean it....or better yet get one that leaks less and/or a drip shield.

I think I have sorted the atty out a little more. It seems like the juice is sitting in the bottom under the mesh/coil and it i turn it like taking a drink from a cup it seems to use the juice and not keep over filling.

Rinsed it out and cleaned the coil with some alcohol and the taste seems a lot better. I rechecked the ohms after cleaning and I have 1.8 ohms. I think my issue is my eon cartos are 2.8 ohms and researching online it appears they run at 3.7 volts (auto batts, can't measure) so off the chart it appears I am at 5 watts. So even with the I taste down to 3.3 volts at 1.8 ohms is almost 6 watts. I will try a higher ohm atty and see how it is.

Speaking of the nicotine. Before I could chain vape my eon and never get a head rush or anything, just usually get a sore throat. Now I take a couple hits from the I taste with the same juice and I start to get dizzy and the headache from too much nic. I have been on 18 mg in my eon and even tried friends 16 still get dizzy. I was thinking about trying some 6, or is there a decent way to "dilute" it without loosing the flavor.
