I won a little box of gear and in it was 2 Panasonic GCR18650CH cells. While they fit fine, came off the charger at 4.19v and are button tops, they don't work in my Provari. Looking at them closely, it seems the button top does not extend past the top of the cell. I have seen other members say that they use the Panasonic batteries without issue and are very happy with their performance. Are you using a different model? I have AW IMR's that work fine but the button is the highest point of the cell. Like I said these were free and work great in the boss mod that came in that box of gear so they won't go to waste. My IMR's are going to need replacement in the next few months so I would like to know what works and what doesn't.

Those are the ones and yes, they work in my Provari. The only they may not work in yours is if the circuit board cut out where the positive connection is made is a little deeper on yours .
Look inside the battery tube and you'll see the board and contact looks similar to this:
l -------------l
l -------------l
l-----___----l<--------------
l____/ \____l< -------------

Screw it I cant draw it. Im talking about the notch on the board . +

Variation in this distance between positive battery contact and bottom of circuit board could be difference of battery firing the device or not.
Sorry about my skills , that's the best I could draw what I meant.

Your ASCII drawing is way better than anything I could do:) I get it and this is the problem, when I stick my finger in there, the circuit board and contact feels relatively even. The button on the Panasonic cells doesn't actually stick up further than the sides of the cell and the insulated sides of the cell are hitting the circuit board rather than the button hitting the contact. When you put the cell in, you can hear/feel a plastic on plastic thud. The AW's button is the highest part of the cell and you hear a nice metal on metal click when it makes contact. --- on the Panasonic's as opposed to -^- on the AW's. Just to clarify, even the Orbtronics button top cells are --- and may not work in some Provari's? Mine is a full sized with the extension cap and red LED's in case this info helps someone to get the right cells. Mine were won but I'm sure they came from smartvapes.com.

These will work in the provari.

Bare cell: made by Panasonic-Made in Japan

The best 18650 battery (tested, and confirmed) for ProVari personal vaporizer users.

Excellent choice for people who are looking for high drain (high discharge current), or IMR 18650 battery cells (Personal Vaporizer-Electronic Cigarette, LED Flashlight, or any application that requires high discharge current)

These won't work.

hello, i can def help as i have 4 of these and went through this with 2 of them, dont know whats going on lately but the button top is not uniform from battery to battery anymore. and some are just so slightly missing the contact inside the proV from the battery casing making them too recessed.
if you look at the button top you can see little slots in the side, so what i did is take an old sewing needle i didnt care to use anymore and inserted it in the slot and kind of redimpled the button top just a tiny bit. after having done this they all work fine and have not had a problem with them since.
I was thinking of sending them an email telling them about this but havent had time..
hope this helps.

all in all i get outstanding vape time on these cells. (and they fit the vamo perfectly BTW)
