I hate EGO tank/atomizer systems- no flavor at all! I like vaping with lr cartomizers, but can stand burnt taste after a while, and... I've tried cheap atty's that either leak like hell, or you have to fill up after every puff, or... both!

I read about the HH 357's, but they cant be used on Ego batteries.... UHHG!

What are the absolute best atomizers I can buy for an EGO battery?

Randy, I'm a full-time direct dripper except while driving (so I try not to do that too often) :) I've bought from most of the big vendors, my fave attys are from VaporKings. BULK 901 801 Joye 510 and 306 atomizers
I get the bulk genuine Joyes in 1.5 to 2.0 ohm to use on Kgos and ego PTs that can take LR supplies. The 510s and the 306s are the bees knees imo. I was a stictly Ikenvape atty girl until he was out of my fave atty. Still love him but the VaporKings vape the same at a very nice price. Love 'em. I've placed 4 or 5 orders and every atty has fired and last for months. Of course, YMMV. This will be a fun thread to follow. I hope you find the perfect fit for you.

Hi Boods, thanks for the reply.... No more drippin' and driving for me:2cool:

I spent some time doing some research, and I've decided to take a different direction...

It seems many folks are impressed with the Ego visions clearomizer. In theory, they sound like the perfect solution for me. I ordered two 4 packs of the LR's from MFSUSA yesterday. Most reviews are favorable, in that they don't leak, have great flavor and vapor production, and... they are lasting about a month... all for about $6 each! Unfortunately, I'll have to see for myself, since I've learned not to put so much weight into reviews, but I've ...... away a whole lot more than $40 on "f'd up" vaping experiments.

So, If what I've read is true, at $40... 8 clearomizers could last me up to 8 months. The same $40 spent on horizontal carts would only get me by for a little over a month ( about 1 cart per day). I don't "f around" with nasty tasting carts, so I change them out often.

Well you have convinced me to crack open the package of visions I got a few weeks ago. Thanks :) I planned to watch videos about them and in action before trying and haven't gotten around to it. Looking forward to your thoughts or tips/tricks. I love direct dripping but sure would be nice if the visions work for a less fiddly option when out and about. Good luck with yours!

Hey Randy,, I just got some of those vision clearo's yesterday and I think you're going to like them. There is one little thing you need to do... well, I had to do it with mine, anyway. Before you fill it, take the mouthpiece off and look inside. You'll see a rubbery plug, and you'll see the wick coming up and into the atty part on the top. There are two grooves in that rubbery cap, which should be aligned with where the wicks come into that top part. I had to pop that rubber plug out and put it back in with those grooves lined up with the wicks. Also before you put it back in, you can fill it by dripping down the sides, avoiding the center. Push that rubbery plug back in properly aligned and push it down with the mouthpiece and you're good to go. I've been using mine for a couple days now and have had no leaks whatsoever! I also lay my pv on it's side when it isn't in my hand to make sure those wicks stay wet. Flavor and vapor from these things is awesome!! There's some vidoes on youtube that'll help you if you have any questions.. hope you like them!

Edit:.. Be sure to draw slow or they'll flood!

Atty's are consumables like the blades in a razor. With prices from as low as $3 to $7.99 and so many different brands, it becomes hard to make a choice. To add more confusion to the picture, you have vaping style (long draw vs. short, ) voltage, juice type, dripping vs. carts or autofeeders (Reo, Vapemate),etc.

My last batch of VK's was a disaster. I order atty's in bulk. I have been vaping for two years with a variety of devices (Reo's, FV, and VV's and do take care of my stuff). One day I burned out 4 brand new LR 306 on my Reo at 3.7 v. I was barely getting 2-3 days out of my other SR and HR 510's. All I know is that I burned through 30 VK atty's in less than 3 months. OUch! The only thing I do with them when they arrive is check them for DOA's with an ohmmeter, so I cannot even go back to the supplier.

I placed a bulk order for various atty's from GH1 (SmokTek) at $3 and free shipping over $99, and these things have been bullet proof. I have yet to burn one out, although I swap them about once a week. Just toss them in a jar and bulk US clean them with denture cleaner.

There are all kinds of opinions on atty's from brand to cleaning method to no cleaning at all. The trouble is that atty's are really unpredictable and what works for one user will not work for the other. I had some SmokTek's in the ePower kits I got and was not impressed. This last batch has been really great. So go figure!

Just find what works for you. For now, it will be a long time before I do another bulk order for atty's

I have been using HH 357's on my Ego batteries for over 6 months with no issues so you can use them.I use the 1.5 ohm version but if your paranoid order the 2 ohm for less load on your battery. You gotta at least try one of these, the flavor is the best I have had and vapor is amazing too.

I tried the new Vision 5ml tank. It took some time for the flavor to come through but then it started rocking on the second day. It's 2.0 ohm. My Kgos didn't play well with it although I use 1.5 attys on them. One blinked and shut off, tried another and another. It just doesn't work on my SLB Kgos but is fine on a 3.7v mod. I don't get the fullness of flavor like direct dripping but it's as close as I've come. I finally have a designated driving PV/tank. Thanks again for mentioning it :)

I agree with Foxman. The vision clearo's ( stardust , whatever ) are awesome. I spend most of my days on the road between customers and dripping was too much fiddling. I wanted something I could fill up and not hassle with. I didnt have much luck with the DCC tanks though I only tried one. Im willing to try another if someone has a good suggestion. I tried a couple other styles of clear dual coil cartos but I keep going back to the vision.

Personally, I vape on the vision clearomizer for a couple days, then give it a good rinse , let it dry out and I'm back in business. If I'm feelin froggy, I'll take it completely apart, clean it, slap a new wick and coil in it and its just as good if not better then new.

Theres a thread in here by RockinRobbie and a few other guys that show how to break down a vision and rewick it. I tried it when I was bored one night and it worked great.

Heres a link for the new version of the vision clearo's with longer wicks....

WOW! I am impressed with the Visions Clearomizer!!! These things are amazing... no leaks, no flooding, great vapor production, and wonderful taste. I learned not to over/under-fill and not over-tighten the drip tip (seems to constrain wicking).

I should have my Cisco 510 attys and drip cone in the mail today. I cant wait to try them, but these clearomizers are really nice

I too have an ego T, and although I'm quite new at all this, I can tell that I'm not getting the full flavour of my e-juices, based on what I've read on the forum. I only use tanks (type A) b'cause my learning curve just started curving, this is a good topic for people new to vaping who own an ego -t and don't know what to buy for it to maximize the enjoyment of vaping.
On my next order I'll be following all your suggestions mentioned here.
Thank you!

Hey guys, I have been using the same Ego vision LR for nearly a week, and I can tell you that I will NEVER go back to using poly-fill cartomizers- EVER. The taste, throat hit, vapor production and warmth, ease of use is exactly what I've been searching for!!!! I also received my Cisco 510 atty's and Avidvapor drip shield, and these also work very well too. But since the clearomizers deliver nearly the same results as dripping, there is really no need for me to fuss with atty's.

I discovered a few things about these Visions clearomizers:
I never fill past 1.4 ml's; never run below .7 ml's
I fill (never down the center hole), then lay it horizontally for 10 minutes to prime the wick
I try to leave it laying horizontally when ever I can, so the wick doesn't get dry
I keep the atomoizer centered in the unit- When refilling, I reposition if necessary
I do not over-tighten the screw-in drip dip; doing so will crimp the wick; restricting it's wicking properties
I shake often- the clearomizer has a tendency to burn off lighter particles of juice, leaving heavy particles behind. Some people complain the taste goes down-hill as the tank empties. Shaking occasionally eliminates this for me
After every two tanks or so, I simply rinse it out with cold water, shake it out, refill, and vape- it takes a few minutes for the fresh juice to displace the water in the wick- but it's not a big deal.

Overall these things are great! I was spending $10 a week on carts, because I couldn't stand the taste of burnt poly. Many people are running these clearomizers for a month or more, so my monthly savings will look like this

One month
4 packs (of five carts)- $10x4=$40
1 Ego Visions LR clearomixer= $5

I wish I would have found these things sooner!
