I am about 4 weeks into vaping and have been analogue free. I ordered an ego-c kit from totally wicked and that's what I've been using. The kit only came with 2 atomizers so I just bought a 5 pack of replacements. Their normal price is 29.99 but I got them for 18% off. I was wondering what everyone prefers for ego-c atomizers and if there are any cheaper options out there that won't lack in quality. I am happy with the ones I purchased but was just looking for opinions. By the way the totally wicked ones are made by joyetech.

After going through several since using the eGo-c for over a year, I've settled on the Tabac BCC from Good Prophets - it has the 1.8 ohm 'oem' and seems to be better quality than those labeled as Kanger T3's but the design is the same. I've tried both....

eGo 3ml Tabac BCC (Bottom Coil Changeable) Clearomizer

replaceable coils are cheaper than eGo-c heads:

eGo 3ml Tabac BCC Clearomizer - Spare Bottom Coils

There's a new style of these called the T3S. I still prefer the above, but they'll eventually be phased out, I'm guessing. The coil unit is separate from the base so the coils are even cheaper:

Tabac T3S

eGo 3ml Tabac Metal MT3S BCC (Bottom Coil Changeable) Clearomizer

T3S coils:

eGo 3ml Tabac T3S/MT3S BCC Clearomizer - Spare Coils

And if you had the Tabac BCC/T3, you can still use the new coils using this base:

eGo 3ml Tabac T3S BCC Clearomizer - Spare BASE

For spare coils, I find that the 1.8 ohms works well for strong flavors and the 2.2 ohm works with lighter flavors. The '2.4-2.6ohm' coils are too light for my lightest flavor and the 1.5 is too hot.. This using a regulated eGo-c upgrade batt similar to what you have in the eGo-c kit.

There ARE Kangertech (tabac) knockoffs at fasttech and other vendors. Good Prophets, heaven gifts and sunvapers are the only ones I know are true Kanger... there may be others but I just don't know for sure. Strongly suggest staying on brand. And if you like and want to go 'bulk' on the coils - heaven gifts have the best prices. (but they're out of stock right now ) I'm waiting.... ;)

Thanks guys. I should've stated that I hgot the ego-c mega TWIST compact kit so the battery I am using is a VV twist. I have read that the lower ohm atomizers aren't the best to use with VV.

Yep.. With the Twist just dial in your flavor/vapor...

i have the newer Tabac (MT3S) BCC. i wish it came in smaller than 3ml, i prefer smaller size vs capacity. it's a bit thicker than the ego-c style battery so it looks a bit funny. only got it a couple days ago so i can't really comment on it except that the coils are much cleaper than the joyetechs.. iirc with the MT3S (3 piece) the coils are around $1.50/ea. big price difference when the joyetechs heads are nearly $5/ea.

i will say the joyetech atomizers are pretty easy to clean and should last a while. i've been vaping on one for a little over a week now, and still performing good. i'd say if you want them to last, clean them every 2 weeks or so depending how much you vape and i bet one will last well over a month easily two months. so i'd say if you buy a 5-pack you should be good for at least a year.

are there any clearos that use the joytech style atomizer?

Mini T3S is same as the T3S but smaller - 1.6ml.

The joyetech eGo-cc uses the eGo-c atomizer:

Kanger Protank Mini 2 v2 ($15). Bottom wicking is superior IMO. Less wick means switching flavors is quick and easy. All glass/stainless materials with a few o rings to seal it instead of glue, not to mention you don't have to worry about your juice dissolving your plastic tanks and contaminating your juice. It's completely rebuild-able and replacement parts are cheap if/when you need them. Replacement coils are about $1.50 each or if you are handy you can rebuild the coils for pennies a piece. Basically once you get set up all you have to buy is juice! I had bought a 5 pack of CE5 Clearos before I bought this thing and they're all still in their packaging.

Quitting smoking requires a dependable system, I believe the Mini Protank 2 with my ego batteries are perfect. There are similar set-ups out there, but I think Kanger got it right. They just need to sell the glass tubes prewrapped with shrink tubing. Exposed glass is pretty easy to break.
