I am vaping my new fave - local Caramel Popcorn which i am addicted to now and have to get more. I am charging my batteries AND charging the new iPad Mini Retina that has put my vape device budget on hold for the rest of the year.. I am okay with that, have a dripper, a mod, eGo's and lots of juice but man, I can't stay off this forum so, essentially, that is what I am doing right now. Vaping my fave and hanging out with people I don't know but love here on e-cigarette forums!

No banner - my roommate frazzled (not my chosen f-word) my laptop and my banner can't be found. Oh well. I am analog free for 29 days, loving the vape life and wow...did I mention I LOVE VAPING?

Someone, in our Super-T family, did something incredibly kind for me today. Me, a stranger at the other end of the keyboard.

There are lots of good people out there, doing lots of good things. Sometimes, when we need it the most, we cross paths with one of those people. At that moment, the world suddenly becomes a brighter, kinder, and happier place.

To that good person, I say, 'Thank you so very much!'. :)

My best friend keeps asking, what I would like him to make me for Christmas. He has a machine shop. I'm thinking I want an atomizer build stand. I'm thinking, it should be stainless, and hold at least three. Anyone have any thoughts on this? If you could have a custom designed stand, what would you ask for?

P.S.: I guess we are going to want a Strata build stand too?

Here, Rojo. This is what I was talking about:

Nic

What... what sorcery is this? That's some of the most impressive kludgery I've seen in quite some time.

"I need a gaming computer. I think I'll get a MacBook Air," said no one ever. Yet, here it freaking is. It's like a Wiccan attending Sunday Mass, or like Fox News withholding an opinion. It just doesn't happen. Yet it clearly just did.

I need to go rethink my life. This has disturbed me on a profound level.

You thought I would like this? Do you realize the unholy terror you have unleashed? Tell me Nic, how long until Skynet becomes self-aware?

Wow Nic, thanks for that video! Now I'm definitely not going to fret about buying an ultrabook. I have a feeling the ViDock will keep me from buying a desktop ever again! Yay for minimalism, portability, and ingenuity! :toast:

I knew that some peeps in this sub would have appreciated that kind of stuff. Fidele, couple years ago I used to bash Apple to no end, ironically nowadays, I type all my stuff from a Mac. Like you and Rojo, once I found out what that little thunderbolt port could do on a Macbook, I knew I had to have one. By the way Fidele, you could also hook all of this to an external monitor. According to Ted (creator of the clip) you even score higher fps average on a external monitor due to minimization of paths from the Vidock to the external monitor. Average on BF3 is 40-70fps (Ultra detail level) on a 1080p definition external monitor.

Get home, play maxed out games. Go to school, or work, and get 13 hours of battery life. It is without a doubt, a win-win situation.

I am just glad you guys enjoyed the video :D.

I have a Surface 2 with a Touch Cover. It's keen as hell. Once upon a time I was a geek to be reckoned with, but when I had proved to myself how subservient computers are my needs became very simple.

I absolutely love the Surface. IMHO, that is the path that laptops will take.

I second the Windows 7 over Windows 8. I just built a system and got Windows 8 and it's a PITA. I run Start8 from Stardock and run everything in classic windows mode. I built it with a Cooler Master HAF XB case and I can't recommend it more highly. Super easy to work on, clean and swap out parts.

I have built RAID systems. Single handedly the best performance improvement for Windows in the time of hard drive launching. An SSD does away with the need for it. However, given SSD's failure rates, I'd recommend 4 120's or two 250s instead of one 480.

I bought my Mother a new laptop, shortly before she passed. It has Windows 8. I hated the Windows 8 so much, I never even set the laptop up for her. It's O.K., because she really didn't want one. As long as hers was broke, it gave her an excuse for me to handle all her computer related things. Took the pressure off. She hated computers. :)
