We are eating unusually late today. Cooking here, hauling it somewhere else. I'd have preferred to stay here but we don't have the facilities to host 12 people. But it has been nice to have the entire day to cook, might do that again!

We had a "Jerry Springer Thanksgiving" and Im not making this up. Plates of turkey and trimming on my Aunts head (she deserved it) My Aunt and my Brother on the floor while he banged her head on the floor. Mom screaming, my little boys cowering around me. I had to call the Cops. My Aunt acting like an innocent victim, my poor Brother being taken to the Psych Hospital.
Lovely , fun and unforgettable day. Needless to say, havent had a big get together for a long time

We had one of those a few years back. This is the first time that batch has done Thanksgiving since. They're all in-laws so I am merely a spectator. I think it'll be okay today though.

Interesting way of putting it . . . and I definitely lived up to that description
Way too much food for the meal, then 11 pies for dessert (for 23 people) plus the fudge I brought. This is why I look forward to this meal all year long ;-)
Oh, and since it was at my uncle's house it was fresh farm-raised turkey roasted in an old wood fire oven and milk straight from the cow for drinking . . . oh, it don't get no better than that

Edit: And reading some of your stories makes me a little bit glad I'm Korean. The whole social hierarchy business is not very conducive to mass familial craziness. But sometimes it all goes internal: awkward silences, forced politeness, passive aggression... Like a Cold War... Wait a minute... I guess all families are pretty much the same...

I found it rather funny and entertaining. Except for my boys, It really was like a surreal comedy. My Aunt who is a mean, conniving, two faced instigator got her just desserts that day.
She was poking at my brother who is schizo effective but very well under control with meds was being manipulated by my aunt who it turned out had convinced him he didnt need his meds for over a week before. We were not aware of this.
She had been going on about his weight, his tremors, just plain picking on his every weakness was asking for it. I kept telling her to shut up but she laughed and ignored it. My poor brother came to a boiling point and he let her have it. If he had actually harmed her or worse , believe me I would have been on his side.
She is one of those real life monsters that go around causing drama , hate, and turmoil around all those around her, On top of all that she is a klepto.
Turned out good because after that no one had to put up with her since.

Wow. That sucks. So sorry to hear. Sounds like the house I grew up in. That's why I ran away at 17, and never looked back. I don't miss that mess! Hope things have calmed, and you have a better evening.
I hated the craziness in my family. Never found it funny, when I was living it. Now though, I can tell some funny stories. They gave me a ton of material to work with!
I don't normally 'pig out', but today I did. My Financial Consultant and his family, had me over. They are so nice! She is a wonderful cook! I don't cook at all (Literally, the breaker to my stove is 'off'.), so I rarely get home cooking. Everything she made was absolutely delicious! Best meal I have had in more years than I can remember. What a treat!
And, they have two teenage kids that are intelligent, well mannered, well spoken, well educated, kind, etc.. That was a treat too!

While having all day to cook is fine and dandy, I found out that starting eating a turkey dinner at 6 is just plain wrong for many reasons.
No incidents though, very enjoyable! Two of my in-laws (actually, the only ones who smoked) are now vaping! I fixed them up with cigalikes a couple years ago but it didn't stick. Technology and availability has them back 100%!

I am stuffed having had the wife once more having made Martha Stewart look like a rank amateur. Not only was the turkey perfect but she mixed it up this year with garlic mashed potatoes. I introduced the extended family to Smoked Sea Salt, which compliments a Turkey dinner perfectly.
Boy Im tired, been cooking since Wednesday night, cooked all day on Thurs. I ended up cleaning, washing, putting the food away. No one helped me. Yes boo hooo.
But all came out good, Turkey, pork loin and trimmings. Im thankful its over.......
No cops, quiet. Watching the Modern family marathon, watched some Twilight Zone marathon also. Might finish the season 3 of Boardwalk Empire.
I hope all you had a good one too. Now to get some rest and get back to our waiting and stuff.

juice? I think I need to order some more juice but I can't remember how much

My Ti is just sitting there looking at me and I start thinking if I need to order some new batteries. Should I go with the
juice should I order? I vape about 5ml a day so do I need to stock

I like hamburgers too though. Sometimes hotdogs but mainly just hamburgers.
Hamburgers are good and I like them. I like them even better when my Ti is close by because that means I can cook the hamburgers and vape at the same time. It's way cool.

I like my coffee straight black.
I saw they had coffee on sale the other day so I bought some even though I had plenty at the house. I guess I don't need to buy coffee next time I go shopping..
