Hey John, Good news - There's obviously a lotta people with the waists of their pantyhose getting all rolled about Muhahahahahahaaaa...
Here's a new peeve - due to volume of orders a certain e-liquid that I MUST MUST try and WANT WANT WANT will be available at......................... 8 a.m. CST - CST? That's 3 AM in the morning in Hawaii!!!!! Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! Drat darn and buggedy boop, followed with hmphing.

So a guy walks into a bar, and the bartender says "Hey, you're a grumpy, tired, irrationally angry, .... know-it-all".

Get it?

Me either.

I'm new, but I take it that you're the Mr. Knowitall around here. There's one in every forum. :p
QUOTE]

As for calling me a "knowitall", the moderators have assured me that they will discourage such judgmental and inherently offensive communication, and I will now take them up on their offer of seeing to it that it does not occur on this site. (I hope the "...." judgment will be looked at as well).

Offensive? Are you really offended by a tongue in cheek comment? If so, apologies on my part. I however do find it a little offensive that you think you know my wife more than I do after 1 post. Unless you have a doctorate in psychology & years of experience, please refrain from making any judgmental calls about her. Actually, even Dr. Phil himself wouldn't be this quick to judgement.

I have a peeve of how new things confuse once simple things.

The eGo C/T type atomizers. Are those things that go on them carts or tanks? It can't be a cart because it has no filler and cannot be replaced with a drip tip, but it can't be a tank mostly because "tank" means something completely different to most vapers here.

OK, you kids! Get off my lawn! I gotta' go replace the onion on my belt...

My new pet hate is seeing several unfinished home made mods sitting in various boxes. Usually progress is usually stymied by not being able to find the right switch for either aesthetic or technical purposes. Which leads me to my other pet hate: deciding whether or not I want to buy 50 gross of tiny parts because vendors only sell in industrial MOQ (minimal order quanitity) or a vendor that will sell you a single one but at 1000% of retail cost (like $40 for a $4 switch).

But my more common pet hate is vendors that don't tell you what a juice is supposed to taste like. Sure a catchy name like "electric blue happiness" or "sarah's red wagon" gets my attention, but WHAT IS IT SUPPOSED TO TASTE LIKE??! If a description at all is offered, it's something stupid like " an all day vape that is reminds you of a better time and brings you happiness...." WTF!? seriously. WTF.

^^ 'Sarah's Red Wagon' sounds SO unappealing.

My biggest pet peeve has got to be explaining the damn things to people. Years ago, it was worse, nobody knew what they were. Nowadays more people are aware of PVs, but it is inevitable that someone is going to be curious. I'm too nice, I suppose, and I do love vaping, so it usually becomes a half hour discussion.

Another pet peeve is when people ask to try it, but that's mostly because I don't know where their filthy, filthy mouths have been. I'm all for people making the switch, but I am not down with strangers putting their stranger mouths all over my PV.

a big pet peeve of mine about vaping has to do with when i watch video reviews. literally every single reviewer inhales and then opens their mouth and blows the smoke out all goofy. does that make sense? nobody does that at home so why do it in videos? it looks so goofy and drives me nuts. its like they all think they have to make an O shape with their mouth and blow out vapor like that as soon as they are on video. gaaaaaah! bugs me just thinking about it.

... oh, and another thing about videos. 9 out of 10 guys demonstrating their devices looks like they are on some kind of heavy drugs.

Funny pet peeve not previously mentioned.

Packages/boxes from vendors that also serve as advertising. Don't put your company label in 4 inch block letters across the box! She who gets the package already knows who it is from and what is in it. Purchase made, no advertising necessary. I live in a small town and my post office worker talks to everyone. I try keep my vaping on the down-low to avoid judgement and that does not help!

I am right there with ya! My father is also known as "he of a zillion unanswerable questions" so to avoid being interogated to no end with questions that couldn't be answered by the person who invented the e-cig, let alone me, I have let my father believe I still smoke. He's not seen my PV and if I have it my way, he never will. But having stuff sent to the house is very difficult. He finally started asking what this stuff is the last time I got an order in because of this exact reason. A little discretion would be appreciated.

I am the same way only because my mail carrier is a busybody. The less info he has to share, the better. When I order online, in the comment section at the bottom of the order page, I always ask them to please leave their company name off the return address label and so far every vendor has complied. They either just put the address with no name or they put an individual's name instead of the company. My online purchases are nobody else's business.

Another pet peeve of mine is tracking info. Some vendors are great about sending an email once your package has shipped and with some, it's hit or miss. Sometimes they do and sometimes the package just shows up with no advance notice. I travel a lot, so it's very helpful for me to have an idea when packages are going to be hitting my doorstep.

You guys live somewhere that you have the same mail carrier every day? What's that like?

Some people say cities are dehumanizing…I find I'm much more comfortable with the other 6,000,000 people in my city having better things to do than care what I get in the mail.

A busy subway station can be a VERY lonely place, but I still know my bartenders' first names (and they know mine) and when I want to be another body/shadow/etc. I can.

Not specifically vaping related, but my biggest pet peeves are small towns and suburbs; I haven't found a single good thing about them. At times, Atlanta feels too small just because it's spread out.

Also, USPS. If you want to see true random number generation, start tracking package transit times.

Great idea!!! I never thought of that! Genius!

Another Pet Peeve: My hubby critisizing me for vaping, while he jacks my pv. Then, saying he is going to quit smoking & chewing so I suggest getting him his own PV and he denies saying he will quit "Cold Turkey" while vaping on my pv he just jacked. (I have a specific battery rotation that keeps me happy! Him jacking my vape forces me to break the rotation and it is gee awful annoying.)

"Atlanta" is a small town. :) Not even half a million people in it.

Small town dweller over here too. I love being able to leave the keys in the car. The hard part is finding them cause I am still not totally acclimated. Then you have the Cheers syndrome. But the best part is never having to leave to visit the gun range. Its in the back yard. Can also launch the boat in like 15 minutes. I love it here.

What did it for me when I lived in the city. Last 18 months I called the cops 8 times for people breaking windows, spray painting, and stealing out of my back yard. Yes I shot the gun a couple times in city limits, and yes the cops hated me. Oh well.

Wyoming is pretty much all small town, but mine is smaller then most. It is comforting, but the cheers syndrome freaks me out. Even more, the fact that the area I live in.....everyone is truly related. My husband walks down the street and points out "I think that is my 3rd cousin....and that....I know I'm related to them somehow." Freaks me out. They send out the kids to find wives to make sure there is no cross contamination. But it is home and I love it. Same thing here, great outdoors is a quick 10 minute walk up the canyon.

New Pet Peeve (just to keep to topic...and it just happened): Cartos that I have used a few times and have plenty of juice and suddenly taste like plastic? Never had that happen before. Mind you, I'm a new vaper. Is that common?

I grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone. For the past thirty years, I've lived in a suburb outside Philly. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. In the small town, very little crime and everyone looked out for each other's kids. But there wasn't a lot to do except gossip about each other. Suburbs are nice because you can know a lot of people and still have privacy in your life. There is a lot more to do and the city is close enough to visit museums and theaters. But there is a lot more crime, drugs, suicides, and people don't get as close as they do in the small town.

I could stay here or move back to a small town, but I've spent enough time in cities to know I could never live in one. I enjoy visits to Philly, Boston, NYC, Pittsburgh, but I'm always happy it's only a visit. To each their own. I would never say I can't find one good thing about the city, but I can't find enough to make me want to live in one.

Pet peeve--some of the vendor packaging can be really hard to get open. See, mods, I'm still on topic.
