I use to sell and buy on ebay for about 12 years, then they started upping and upping and uppping the final value fee's and initial fees, and that was the end of that, no longer sell on ebay, once in a blue moon i'll buy something but only if i cant find it anywhere else.
I always checked feedback before buying anything, only got ripped off once, for a pair of $180 True Religion Jeans....i sent them back to her because she sent the wrong size....she claimed she never got them, ...like i said, i've sold and bought off ebay for 12 years, i've never NOT gotten a package and my buyers have never NOT gotten a package...so she basically lied. I still want to find her and wring her neck to this day'....i unfortunately sent them back air mail , so there was no tracking. so i guess i got what i deserved. i just hate someone who would do something like that, i hope her karma was horrible that whole year'.....
okay..see? now look what you did, you got me all riled up now'...and that was 6 years ago........lol..
I had something very similar happen, but on the seller end. Last year I was really hard-up for cash and reluctantly decided to part with some beloved rare books. I sent a set out to a guy for $30 (a steal), but like a fool got insurance but no tracking. After a week or so the guy started sending me increasingly frantic and passive aggressive "where's my package" emails. Over the course of a few weeks, I ended up going to the post office about 4 times to try to get answers and responding to about 15 emails (so there go my profits, right?). The package was stuck somewhere in transit, but the guy refused to believe that the USPS could ever lose something and started accusing me of not sending it. It turned into a sort of ideological debate about the reliability of government institutions at some point, all with the undertone of him accusing me of ripping him off. I decided I didn't want to deal with him any more, so I refunded his money and appealed to his decency as a human being and asked him to return the money or the books if they ever showed up. You have to wait at least a month before you can file a lost-package insurance claim, and when I was finally able to, guess what? I couldn't claim the insurance money because the package did finally arrive at its destination. Did he contact me, return my books, or my money? No. I sent him a couple of emails, but of course he never responded. I definitely understand your anger, because even typing this I'm getting a little worked up. It's not about the money, it's about dishonest people accusing you of being dishonest.
Sorry, that was a bit off topic. vaping pet hate: I haz tired of peoplz overusing LOL Cats language in ECF posts!
