Another one to go along with "uuuuuhhhhmmmm" reviewers is the 5 minute intro of way too loud music and crappy graphics. I sit there clicking past it and it keeps going and the whole time I'm going "errr mah gerrrd! can we just see the review please?!" So yeah, long intros... Oh and "there's ducks in my pond!" or "sorry that was my cat" or "so I don't know if you can hear that or not but..." just stick to the topic. I watch a lot of reviews BTW

Seriously!!! If you're making a video, turn off the music, check your lighting, and SHUT THE DOOR to prevent random people, animals, etc. from coming in.

Totally! I'm waiting for the intro that's longer than the review itself. I'm sure it's already out there.

I've seen it.

Okay I got one.

LOSING!! a barely opened bottle of a primo juice somewhere between the car and my bedroom and NOT being able to find it. I am seriously peeved.

I have an unopened bottle of one of my favorites. It's in the house...... somewhere.

John, nothing I'd revise in that post, that explained everything in terms that would make sense... My brain fog is deep, but even I can manage to pay attention when someone says this or that = cooler or warmer vape. My peeve was not directed at you... it was from extended reading of the entire new forum over months that just got me thinking.

Where I get peeved, is post after post of vets arguing with vets over stats of some device without explaining the differences. Someone says get an eGO cause it's a 510 thread, then someone says yeah but an ego is 3.2 v unregulated and a Volt X2 or the Kgo is 3.6-3.7 regulated so better (although the X2 is 808 threaded). I had a noob PM me once thinking that they understood that a regulated device meant it had a safety feature. Nobody explained what it meant, just went on for a page bickering about it.

I can't for the life of me understand why the majority of us can't agree and back each other up on logical suggestions.

1. cig-alikes if necessary: Volt, Bloog, Smoov (just different logos)
2. mid sized things: eGo, KGo, Volt X2, if you're gonna go this route, might as well have the eGo Twist unless you're looking at some insanely marked down kit just to have something.
3. APVs... personal preference, tell us what you're looking for.

If we're not backing each other up or at least saying "hey, that's a good recommendation... here's another option that has this and that feature as well if that's something important to you" rather than bickering, then the poor noob is getting more and more wary of trusting anyone's advice. Again, this is not directed at any one individual... it's a general thought that before we have a pissing contest.... think what that does to the noob. 2-3 options with an explanation of each is great, when everyone and their cousin comes in and touts their own favorite device and belittles what someone else suggested, where does the noob turn?

A lot of "vets" tend to stick way too much personal opinion into simple questions. They sometimes forget that the best device is the one that works. And while all of them aren't for me if they work for you then it's the best device in the world

..........:)..........

Phil Busardo, if you say you have it set to 4.3 volts, I believe you. You don't have to spend 5 minutes trying to focus the camera on the display to prove it. :)

(said tongue in cheek, I like Busardo's reviews)

LOL... This is true. It is less annoying than watching smoke rings after Scott's "nice kick in me froat" though.

I like that he edits his juice reviews now so the vaping is at 1.5x speed though.

Some of the faces he makes are really funny sped up.

I'm pretty sure Guitarman wasn't aiming that at Phil; his intro is just a few seconds long, and then he gets right to it. And he's just about my favorite reviewer, with big shout-outs to Grimm Green, Scott Bonner, SteelJan, GeekVaperGirl, Doctor Vapor ..... and Fazed, when he isn't reviewing broken VMax's. :)

Agree, the 1.5x is a nice touch, and he's really pretty funny in general. It's great to see someone "Livin' large" and having a good time.

This is one of my favorites; check out the intro to his ProVari V2 review, if you haven't seen it.

"Holy Smoke"! :)

I love reviews from therealcmac and pbusardo the most, but want to smack the speakers when I hear that witchy voice shriek "can I taste your jooooose" on Phils videos - the answer is NO, so shutup!

I don't mind sharing if ya ask nicely and in a voice that doesn't remind me of fingernails on a chalkboard, actually that would be preferable to her audio.

Agreed. And thanks for that - I've heard it so many times, and am so used to it, that I'm glad you just made me realize that I can't stand it either. :)

And also agreed - leggo my Eggos, don't touch my Butterfinger, and get your own damn joose. :)

I mute the first few seconds of his videos……except when I'm yelling at the computer screen and cracking up……usually "you ain't my b...., n....! get yo' own damn [juice]".

(which, btw, is a slightly modified Obama quote)

new pet peeve: the completely nonsensical censorship on ECF.

So, I don't know if this has been mentioned as a peeve yet or not. It's not isolated to vaping, but I have seen a fair share of it on here. Customers that have any kind of remote issue with a vendor and run to here to post all about it, but when asked if they've contacted the vendor, the reply is "Not yet."

Reminds me too much of The Consumerist site.

That's actually an audio drop he swiped from the Howard Stern show, and it's originally from a porno they were making fun of.

She wasn't looking for e-juice either BTW.

Agreed about the point on ECF. But, The Consumerist's advice got me a free Macbook a few years ago after two Apple Stores told me to shove it for trying to get them to fix a know issue while the computer was under warranty without it taking so long (3 round trips to the depot taking about 1-2 weeks each according to the policy).

It really was Apple's fault……one of the stores was "too busy" to deal with it, and the other genius had his hands tied up in red tape and couldn't tell me what I had to do without risking his job, at least that's how it was explained to me a couple days later when I came in to pick up my new one.

Occasionally you see good on there, but all too often it's whining stuff. It's reached the point where it's a mockery on Fark. :p
