When it's 2AM, pitch-black, and I just got the kids to sleep... trying to do a little forum reading with my laptop, and I reach for my (black edition) silver bullet, and instead of gripping it, I graze it, knocking it over onto the wooden table-top.

Through the magic of resonance, the shape of the (B)SB, the harmonics of the table, and I suspect, some evil voodoo, the PV doesn't come down with the expected thud, clunk, clank, etc. It makes the most ear-splitting, deafening, crack you have ever heard! I kid you not, it sounds more like a post-apocalyptic arch-zombie has embedded a 20 pound flail into my dining table than a simple PV being knocked over. If I hadn't knocked it over myself, I'd have run for cover!

My pet peeve: Doing this twice ... in a row! %*#$%$%#&!!!

Dogbert...you should warn this poster about the perils of handling a black SB in pitch darkness:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/altsmoke/310398-buying-1st-sb-wondering-about-black-coated-vs-black-chrome-discounts.html?highlight=buying+1st+sb

I hope this doesn't get out. It's just the sort of thing the anti-vaping community loves to twist and exploit. I can see the tobacco giants rubbing their hands with glee, then calling all their news contacts with the headline:

FIRST E-CIGS BLOW YOUR FACE OFF NOW VAPING IN THE DARK CAUSES HEART ATTACKS

;)

Today's peeve... the amount of money spent getting a setup that works right. I now have about $80 in attys I can't use because the system crapped out on me. WTF?! I switched to save a little money, so far I haven't saved much.

What kind of attys for what system? I'm sure if they're in good working order you can find some one to sell them to. Won't break even, but won't make it as painful.

A mild annoyance more than a peeve/hate ... I still use the -C tanks, and have 10 of them. Losing track of what juice is in what tank. Granted, right now I'm just vaping every one of them empty and going "Ohh, so that's what that smell was." :p

Still, in the future I think I'm going to start rubber banding tanks to bottles to keep track. :)

I assume from what you were saying that you can't screw the cap back on now? If you have a guy friend with a set of taps, he could run that thread size in and open it back up. Or you could take it to a local machine shop and they could do it for you in a couple minutes and probably charge you like $5 or something, if not do it for free?

It's an eGo-C. I think I may have fixed the issue. Keeping my fingers crossed, but I've made it through without an issue here tonight. I'll be switching over to this new system when I'm out of atty heads if this keeps up well. Or keep a few for backup for when the new system craps out and I need something to take up the slack (clearomizers did it this time).

Another pet peeve... trying to remember what everything is called and all of the "lingo." I'm more of a "this do-hickie right here" type. LOL!

Hmmm, what kind of issues with the eGo-C? I've been using one for almost a month and a half with no real issues.

The problem may be the juices. It was giving off this awful burning taste, even after changing the atty head, cleaning, etc. Apparently, according to the people of YouTube, these don't really like VG. And I've been doing a lot of VG lately. What I did was I now only fill the tank about half way, and give it a flick every few pulls to pop bubbles and loosen the vacuum. Seems to have fixed the problem. Next order I'll probably ask for PG - or mostly PG - instead to fix the issue. But I'll probably switch over fairly soon and use this as a backup system. I've been using mine about 2 months now, maybe not that long.

I've only had one pure VG juice in mine, and I honestly don't remember if I had any issues, that was awhile ago. I mostly do 50/50 or 40/60 vg/pg these days. Seems to wick fine. It's not the best wicking for higher voltages tho. I tend to keep my Twist at around 4.0, maybe 4.1. But if I direct drip onto the atty, I can crank all the way up.

I have one juice that is 70/30 vg/pg, and I am thinking and can't really recall it having issues. Again, it's been so long since I had the 100% VG, that I won't really try to speak to it, just nothing stands out, but I can see it. I like seeing the bubbles, so I tap and shake mine often enough as it is. I still believe the -C system is a very good starting place, and will still recommend it to friends. It's very "low maintenance" early on. Just make sure everything clicks into place, and leaks ... I've not had any.

I'm still waiting to see which mod I get out of Uncle's member contest he ran, and maybe from there I'll goto cartotanks. I have one already, but it's got a dual coil carto in it, and well ... not impressed. Gonna pick up some single coils for it soon, and for my Bella Tank, and we'll see from there as well. But I love the easy of changing flavors with the simple -C tanks.

My biggest pet peeve so far: my own habits with regard to ordering juice. I've run out twice and smoked ~6 cigarettes each of those days until the new juice came in the next afernoon. It wouldn't be a problem, except that buying locally means spending $10 at a gas station on something that won't last the day or $2 on gas + $12 on a 5ml bottle of something that tastes like winstons soaked in throat lozenges.

As for people asking about it……I handle it the same way I handle it when people ask me why I use Apple computers or about anything to do with music: I act really excited and give them more information in 10 seconds than they'd ever want. If they keep talking, then it's fun…most of the time, they go away.

I stole it from Ethan Hunt in Misison Impossible 3.

Annoying party guest: "Your wife tells me you work for the department of transportation."

EH: "Yeah. I study traffic patterns. It's fascinating, absolutely fascinating. Did you know that if you tap your brakes on the highway…just tap them you can watch the effects reverberate through traffic for miles."

Works like a charm.

New Pet Hate discovered today: head shops.

I'm down to my last Mistic (dse901-ish) battery and was looking for something to tide me over until my next step comes in, just in case the last one decides to fry too (the gaskets b/t the terminals are wearing out…they're supposed to be semi-disposable). Out of 4 head shops I tried, three of them sold Joye Ego starter kits (either unbranded or Titan branded). And the cheapest one (650 mAh battery, one atty, no juice and a carrying case) cost $150……and the sales lady didn't know you could use liquid with it.

I know that VaporPro lists that as their "retail price", but it was a lamer kit and it's not like anyone pays more than what's listed as "wholesale" when buying online anyway.

I was floored. You can get a kicked silver bullet for that price.

I can't imagine how many people think PVs or ecigs just have to suck if they're not savvy enough to type "electronic cigarette" into a search engine.

On a side note, the 4th one doesn't carry any ecigs (except some njoy cartos) because they don't have anything in the store that isn't american made. I'm going to see if I can convince them to carry a small selection of at least juice if not batteries and maybe a mod at a decent price just as an F U to the rest of the head shops in the area.

Definitely a Provari V2.
You won't ever want to get another mod again, and why would you'?, its the best, no sense in wanting something else after a Provari.
Best juices i've had, and every single one of them, I got major length'age on the cartys, i'm talking weeks, and its altcig.com juice. Not only is it the most awesome juice, but the cartys do NOT take a beating whatsoever with this juice. I've had alot of juices in the past year and a half, and whatever she does to her juices, the cartys last and last.....okay nuff said'....well one more thing, i liked her juices so much, i made my own signature/banner of her site....hows that for loyalty? heheh

I want to thank each of you for the 2 hours of entertainment this thread has enriched my life with. I can relate to every single pet peeve here. I do have a question or two though... Which mod is the best? And what's the best juice to take a toot off of it with?

J/K :p:D
