It's out of warranty. I bought a kit from ifixit for $30 that came with the battery and tools. They had an instructional video too. I already replaced one in my old iPod 30gb 5g so I kinda knew what I was in for. It took all of about ten minutes.

No but I did a quick run thru of the video. The hardest part is seeing the little screws. I used a magnet to hold them while I changed the battery. They are smaller than the screws in eye glasses.

See Hitt, all that practice with Vape gear has expanded your technological skills. (That's what I tell myself!). Tis funny, I'm not super good (probably average) at fiddling around with attys, etc. but I do think it helps me build my patience...and I kind of like the process. OhHh, but I degress.....
