I use the IMR 2000 mah flat top batteries from my old Lavatube in a pinch. Don't need them often, but they work just fine. FYI- I rebuild my heads too (2.0-2.2 ohms typ), vape at about 6 watts and my original pink battery is giving me about 24 hrs elapsed time.

I'm rebuilding at 1.3 and vaping 9-11 watts constantly so i have a significantly lower battery life

It depends on the setup.

Provari and other VV/VW Devices: Panasonic CGR18650CH

Mech mods with SLR Coils (10-20Watts): Samsung INR1865020-R / MNKE IMR 18650 / AW IMR 18650 in that order

I prefer to stick with safe chemistry high drain batteries when possible, although the Panasonic and Samsung are not LiMn chemistry they have been tested to be close to as safe. I take great care of my gear and check my batteries often to avoid problems.

I use the panasonic one the 3400mah NCR18650B, lasts quite a bit longer. Also bought an xtar WPII charger for charging batteries

Those panasonic NCR x B batteries are ptty good. I did not own any charger or any other 18650 batteries, so I needed a charger. The flat top ones are a pain too charge. Luckily i bought some magnets along with the charger
