I want to order a GLV, but I'm confused as to which batteries to use in the 5V model. I have UltraFire 16340 880mAh 3.6V batteries and Tenergy RCR123A 750mAh 3.0V batteries. Will either or both of these work? Thanks.

WARNING !! PLEASE READ!! Do not ever use unprotected batteries in a GLV or any other personal vaporizer..ever! Unprotected batteries may cause harm to you or your GLV. For any questions feel free to call 248-346-3205

sorry had to hijack your post so people could see this.

So I finally got some Ultrafire Protected 16340 1000mAh 3.6 volt batts, and measuring the voltage at the atty connection shows as 8 volts (OK, 7.98 volts) This seems a bit high for a 5 volt mod? Any fix?
nope thats right you should get 8ish ...the atty will drop 1 1/2 volts ..ish and the resistor will do the same = 5-5.5v

Oh, cool then! I thought that the resistor would drop the voltage before it got to the atty connector. Thanks for the info!

No problem ..I did to when i first started learning about all of this stuff lol. You have to test it with an atty on to see what your really vaping at.
